Pretty sure Rift doesn't allow addons.

:o If you need 47 addons to play a game, you might be playing the wrong game for you. Just sayin'.

When I played Wow... I only needed like... 4 MAX addons... nothing else.

Yeah, likewise. I think I used a threat meter (Omen, IIRC), DBM, Outfitter, a bar mod, and possibly one or two other things. I got sick of mods breaking every time a patch came out. I remember our GM put together at one point a package of 'recommended mods' for the guild, and it was this bloated monstrosity of like 50+ things.

I don't have any problems with the UI. It's really smooth and flexible if you spend a few minutes getting to know it. (I actually had to spend a few minutes figuring out how to make additional action bars appear). They did really well incorporating the many good ideas of some of the more popular WoW based addons.
As far as system requirements I've heard a lot of people remark on how nice the game runs on lower end computers (with lower settings of course) and my one friend in my networking classes is playing it on a computer with a 7 year old mobo (I'm running it perfectly fine at ultra max settings although i have an i5-750 coupled with a 5850).
