Rift!
Havoc10K:
I have no problems with mage leveling, I've respecced my souls and now pretty much own everything, gonna get rid of stormer cuz lightning is what most mobs seems to be highly resistant to, at least from my perspective, lately I been casting this and I only see resisted all the time so I just use icicle and frost blast.
I really enjoy the Defend and Rifts events, they are really fun, if only I didn't DL a few torrents last time I would have been more helpful XD
Yeah i also wait for Soul and Blade, although I think all the hard work will be crushed again by ncsoft with their gold shop :P
I hope the game will be what we see in the trailer, though dunno if you noticed but a single hit takes around 300-400, which means what we see is a pretty high level already, I won't even touch kung-fu master, only assassin and force master for me :)
also, my rule no1.
-Always play the female char XD

Yep, I want to be a Lin. Afterall, my main on WoW is a pink pony tailed gnome ;)

But with the close combat being so sweet in this game, I'm reluctant to try a caster.
Prob seen these before, but anyways:

I love the sprinting ability....especial ly on water:

Their version of portals/flight paths blows everything else away:

And I like the many cutscenes in game using own character:

Wow, did I see a proper counter channel timer ? wariors using a proper counter-attack or parry is a rare thing, using it as an actual ability is very rare, because it's mechanics have never been correct, many mmo games that tried to use it abandoned the idea and left it in the way WOW uses, as a triggered passive ability.
Proper Stamina mechanics for sprinting, also the abilities seem to use a specific resource, instead of mana and the likes.
Now that is what I call fast travel :)
Really nice rendering in the cutscenes,
This game has a good chance to be a WoW distractor, but will not kill it, more likely, NCsoft will kill it with gold shop, that is my greatest fear at the moment.

Currently rolling a lock as main with necro as sub and pyro as third, and for me, this build works great. I got 12 points on necro which gives me the tanking pet and the rest of my points on lock. I have no problem soloing and pulling at least 3-5 mobs AoEing them. For me, its very easy to lvl with my mage. Got to 3x in three days, usued to play rouge but this build was way more fun.
It works great for me in WF PvP as well, as dps. Usually I'm around 10k-20k higher damage done than the one on second place. I tried messing around with other builds for mage too, but i gotta say lock/necro is the best one, at least for me.
Another thing is the 7-days trial version of rift aint that good cause you will only be able to reach level 15. imo it's not enough to really grasp what rift is about.

What is it about? The only difference between Rift and WoW so far is Rift has a very nice open world PvE while WoW doesn't. Oh, on the negative side, Rift's souls are still unbalanced to what I heard. I played Rift Trial until level 15. I really enjoyed the game and I loved the graphics. But ... I'm not sure if it's even worth it. Convince me how good Rift is. Talk about leveling from 20 to 50 and what do you do when you reach 50.
This is what my WoW character looks like at the moment:
Halfus Hardmode
Maloriak Hardmode
Magmaw Hardmode
I enjoy both Raiding and PvPing in WoW at the moment and well, it has been on the market for long so it's pretty polished at the moment. Is Rift's souls balanced in PvP? What's raiding like in Rift? Not open world PvE, I'm talking about being in a guild and doing a real big raid (10-25, whatever Rift offers in instances). Are there Hardmodes? Are the souls balanced in PvP for 1 vs 1 or for as teams? Is there Arenas?
