highly unbalanced soul system, inability to reset the souls, you have to do a quest for it, trial players probably can't, I didn't make it to meridian or what it was (I was on the bad guys side, although from the story I saw, i'm on the good side hahahah)
Humans, Elves and dwarves in one alliance ... again
opposing force isn't that much different (nearly same models just different paint job)
lack of gear, initial gear cannot be sold o_O
PVP is pretty crappy due to unbalanced soul system, I mostly saw necros mages and some wariors but I didn't play a warior so don't know what sols they have, but yeah, I mostly saw mages in PVP, on necros souls, that means that among so many souls they made only one superior, and once again, it's the dark arts one (WOW most powerful spellcaster in PVP is warlock, Blizzard likes to buff it, they can now heal themselves lol, I still played my shaman cuz I can kill wariors with it :P )

Warlocks got some major nerfs in Cata. The most powerful PvP caster class are mages (all types) followed by Shadow Priests. Also, Shamans are easier than said. I've dueled some high rated Shamans of all specs. The worst one is of course Enhancement but they're not that difficult.

I honestly don't like the unbalanced 1 versus 1 PvP in WoW, they want you to team up with people to make it "balanced".

But with the close combat being so sweet in this game, I'm reluctant to try a caster.

Prob seen these before, but anyways:

I love the sprinting ability....especial ly on water:

Their version of portals/flight paths blows everything else away:

And I like the many cutscenes in game using own character:

This can't be RIFT. What game is this?

Oops, I was derailing the thread ;)  Should have it's own.

As for WoW, yea, Locks got nerfed hard in Cata.  Like when Shadow Priests became more OP with the lock's buff: Dark Intent.  What did they do?  They nerfed Dark Intent.  Well Locks are again the least played class and glad I left, but Shadow Priests are getting some nerfs soon.
I never cared if mages can outdps a lock; but when a lesser geared Shadow Priest out dots an Affliction Lock, I get upset.

Back to Rift:  Since you are a tank, here's Towelliee's view on Rift:

IMO, if you are having fun in WoW, no reason to leave.  But that goes for any next gen MMO.  The hardest part is being in a good guild.

Havoc10K:
Actually, even with the nerfs, locks are most powerful class in WoW, it all depends on specc, and lately, there has been a trend for destro and demon locks, affliction got nerfed cuz they were the most used, and people generally just dropped anything else, only affli for dots, which is teh reason why Blizzard made so many changes, it's still unbalanced, but at least less afli locks, less unholy DKs in PVP and less enhancement shammies, also less fire mages and so on, point was to stop being such a pansy for just one specc.

Shamans are best for me still, and I dunno how it went with the patch cuz I stopped playing but the latest patch was supposed to boost Shaman's AOE damage (single target was good) so i'm just wondering.

As for rift, I'm pretty much sure the game will evolve over time, it's still early for it and yet it does make a positive impression, there is still more bad, but seeing how young the game is, it will be corrected soon enough, unlike WoW which takes 3-4 months for some decent hotfix.

Tatsujin:
When is Blade and Soul be out in the US?
