True Crime: Hong Kong, Dropped?! The f*ck?
« on: February 26, 2011, 05:11:42 AM »
True Crime: Hong Kong was apparently in it's final stages of development when Activision, being the bastards they always have been, canned it? Is this true? I was really looking forward to this game, seeing that it was in Hong Kong.

Are any other publishers, such as bethesda, going to pick it back up? Chances?

It's true. imo True Crime is crap anyway.
The current statement is that there will be no more True Crime titles, ever. And even if some studio does pick it up (almost no chance) it isn't going to be Bethesda...they have their hands full.

True Crime is crap anyway.

Did you skip straight to True Crime New York City?
True Crime: Streets of LA was awesome.
I was really looking forward to TC: HK, do you see any open world games based in Asian Countries? Nope, that would have been the first (Big one, anyway). I was looking forward to fighting with Wushu or any other Chinese martial arts.

Awesome? WTF? It was better than NYC but I'd only give it 6.5/10. I agree that we need an good Asian open-world game.

From what I've heard, the True Crime series had some nice ideas and pretty locations, but flawed gameplay. Common problem in GTA clones. The Driver series (past part one) also comes to mind...

Lol...I suppose it would be awesome for you back then. I played it in 2004 too, I was 12 then.
