This is a very old urban legend that Fox in all their stupidity managed to pick up as "news".

First time it originated at around 1997 by anonymous email, second time in 2000, claiming that it was published in New England Journal of Medicine. No such thing was ever published there by the way. (check here)

That is precisely the reason why this urban legend is brought up every time as "news" and nobody even bothers to check out if it's true or not. Half of the planet's population wishes it to be true and so this disinformation is being spread around over a decade now.

I don't even care if it's unhealthy to stare at boobs... ain't gonna stop me from looking. Plus if a woman slaps me for it, that would technically be assault... but I wouldn't care... undressing a women with your eyes should probably be illegal too, but it doesn't hurt anyone and you can't prove it in a court of law.

So stare all you want.
