Last finished game - your verdict?
Takeshi:
It's kind of meant to be somewhat of a short "comment-and-the-game-you-just-finished". Helpful for me, hopefully for you guys too. There's this, but it's only for the games that have impressed you lately.
I finished Crysis last. Game was pretty good, but gave me trouble near the end:
That occurred during half an hour or something. Not sure what the problem was, not sure how I got it fixed, just disappeared again. The sound and graphics stutter incredibly, also, that continued however. Anyway, the only reason I played it was to get ready for the 25th when Crysis 2 is coming out. Maybe I'll touch Warhead when I feel like revisiting Crysis again, probably gonna need a better computer for that though. I have read somewhere that Crysis 2 is supposed to be better optimized for low to mid-end computers so that gives me a bit of hope. I sure was able to play Crysis 2 better even if I had to resort to a "not-1280x720-resolution".
Also, the story, I don't know, it seemed a bit easy put together, just like they said: "Okay, let's put koreans, aliens and a nano-suit together." I didn't get the, "holy shit, this is big" feeling about Crysis. Okay, that's a lie, I did at one time think "oh wow":

You can tell that their most important topic was the graphics, but yeah, they pulled them off well. I mean, at medium it was beautiful. Can't imagine if I had a computer that could pull off the game in near all settings put to very high.

This is a nice topic to browse through mini-reviews of games. Imma post one right now :)
Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together
I consider myself more of an action-adventure gamer. RPGs and dungeon crawlers don't really catch my attention. But over the past few years I've played and enjoyed a little bit of strategy RPGs thanks to my first experience with Final Fantasy Tactics Advance (for the GBA). A couple of years passed and I finished a couple more, with the most recent being this game.
After blazing through the game in 58hrs (that's quite slow, really), I have to say that it's a splendid remake of its original counterparts. The graphics are good and the Chariot and World systems offer some sort of extras in this already amazing game (although I personally didn't use the Chariot system).
The story's enough to keep you coming back for more until you finish it because of the occasional twists and some amount of drama. I have to say, I finished this game for the sole purpose of seeing the ending, but the bonuses (e.g. recruiting special characters, additional chapters after the ending, secret classes) are enough to help you reach 100+hrs of gaming time. :)
Here are some screenshots I took (it automatically has a watermark, silly Squeenix :P):

Pokemon Black
Now, now I know what people are thinking. Why the hell am I playing a game from a beaten-to-death-series. Well for me it was all about nostalgia and I couldn't help but try this out. Went through the game in about 20 to 25 hours and proceeded on to fighting the Elite 4 for the second and final time (currently trying to get all 450+ pokemon; pokedex is at 280 seen and 90 caught and thats after 36 hours so far).
I have to say the new generation is a pretty solid release. While the pokemon are a bit ridiculous (seems like they're taking everything they can find now and making a pokemon out of it), however the game itself is a great upgrade. There are new types of battles: Rotation Battles and Triple Battles, while it brings in some much needed upgrades to the interface, how things are done, etc. The graphics are a major improvement. The pokemon sprites no longer just sit there. They have a constant animation in battle and even your character has an animation that it actually throws the pokemon at the start of the battle. Very nice indeed. The cut scenes, while limited, are still interesting to say the least.
Story-wise, its also more engaging than previous generations. Sure, its your typical "you vs whatever world-wide criminal organization", but the way they went about it was pretty cool.
Overall, the best entry into the pokemon franchise since arguably, the original, Gold and Silver. I think this game would be great for those who either like the nostalgia, like something challenging (meaning collecting all 450+ pokemon, that in itself is a feat to be honest in the new game), or just like plain grinding (my starter is at level 87 and I'm determined to get it to level 100).

Mass Effect 2
I Didn't have the chance to play Mass Effect 1 and some ppl will think that My review is biased or whatsoever, but still.. here's mah review
I have to Say, Its the Game that most captured my attention, its probably because of its Stunning graphics, and story, relationship aaaand a Unique Gameplay..
I'll start w/ Graphics. Were talking about Hardware performance here, w/ my HD5770, a Full 1080p full graphics and using ATI Catalyst 4xAA, I didn't felt any lag on it.. although fraps were recording of spike between ~25-~40 at action-packed map, its still playable
Story: well yeah, You can get a looooot of possibilities on the story depending on your choices of answer while you play the game, although some part of the story is kinda blurred to me, but it is because In the latter part of the game, I was too focused in getting all Paragon points to gain better Relationship >:D *I chose Tali though, in my second playT maybe I'll go w/ Miranda*
Gameplay: well yeah, its the most unique of all games, Bioware has combined RPG levelling style w/ 3rd person shooting w/ Team command and Environment items to explot, its probably the most realistic I have played yet..
although I was kinda bit Disappointed on my 2nd playthrough because you cannot change classes on it..
all in all, Its a MUST PLAY Game, Can't see any major flaw on the game that will stop me from Playing ME3 when its released

@kyzhucha n : My sibling keeps on nagging me to play Mass Effect 1&2. I've heard a lot of good comments about it, and I particularly like what they said about the good storyline. Might try that out once summer vacation starts :)
