Girls' Work [TYPE-MOON]
« on: March 19, 2011, 05:31:12 PM »

Type: TV Series (?? Episodes)
Release: ??.??.2011 (Will release in 2011)
Genre: N/A
Official Name: ガールズワーク
Original Work: Type-Moon
Animation Work: Ufotable
Anime Description: ...

History Description: Girls' Work is an anime series in production from TYPE-MOON and ufotable. It was announced as an all-ages visual novel in the June 2008 issue of Tech Gian along with Mahou Tsukai no Yoru and the Tsukihime remake. In December 2010, it was announced that Girls' Work would be released as an anime series instead of a visual novel.

The scenario will be written by ex-Liarsoft employee Hoshizora Meteo. Takenashi Eri is in charge of character design, and the background images accompanying the project announcement were done by Teikoku Shonen with lighting by Iuro.

All that is currently known about the scenario taking place in Girls' Work is that the story involves a version of Shinjuku that has "become one" with Paris. The city is called "the city that dreams", and is mentioned to be the real main character of the story.

Type-Moon is finally moving again! Brand new series and based off of a visual novel story (thou' it seems like the visual novel was never released, or yet to release). Blast your eyes on this!

There is no VN. All in the text provided above. They planned a VN, changed it to an anime (and to see if a VN is still an option).

I knew nothing of the outside world. I was just a frog in a well.

Relevant to my interests? Maybe, need moar info
There must a be a reason for tanking things. And all must be in certain balance.
But what that balance is, must depend only on you, nobody else.

I've yet to dislike any of Type-Moon's releases. But I agree as well. We need more information!

Meh, Type-Moon has been fairly hit or miss for me. (then again, they have not been involved in that many projects)
The very few pics regarding this that I have seen so far however make it seem like it will atleast be worth checking out tho.
Was there an ETA on this? Or did I just over look it?

Yet ... probably not now. They're focused on releasing the anime first. We're talking about Type-Moon. These guys LOVE reference to other worlds and nostalgic moments. Plus, they do know how to create some hell of a nice characters and stories, spin offs and everything that they can do to expand their stuff. Well .. for now, let's focus on the anime itself.

I admit. I'm fucking excited. Type-Moon!

Need new sig and ava to rotate through my Type-Moon set...

There's gonna be some reference. Just like how they had cross-worlds with Kara no Kyoukai and Shingetsutan Tsukihime. Also FATE series had same settings as both Kara no Kyoukai and Shingetsutan Tsukihime. So you can expect some similar stuff about Girls' Work. I'm pretty damn sure the Magic Academy in London reference will be in the anime!

It would be pretty expected if the academy DID have something to do with Rin and FSN actually.
You never know what they will drop in there :)

... What? ... The Academy did have to do something with Rin towards the end of UTW arc and the beginning of Hollow Ataraxia. Magic Academy in London was a big reference in Kara no Kyoukai (episode 5). I don't know about Shingetsutan Tsukihime -- I haven't seen this series in years so I forgot what it is all about.

It had something to do with Rin at the true ends of both UTW and HF. In UTW, she and Shirou decide to go there to study magic, and i HF, she takes a break from her work there to visit Japan.

Tsukihime is a horrible anime.  I facedesked myself during the first episode.  Though, I can't wait for Girls' Work.

Correct. It affected every Type-Moon settings so far. I wouldn't rule out Magic Academy to not appear in Girls' Work. They'll definitely include it. We're talking about Type-Moon. They love cross-over / same-setting events, objects or things. And they're good at it.
