It looks ugly, but nowhere as bad as Big Rigs. What year is this from, anyway?
It has primitive lighting. Big Rigs only has ambient lights.
It has collision detection, and it's mostly working (even commercial games have glitches where you can walk through some walls or objects). In Big Rigs, you fall through a bridge 5 seconds into the game.
It has (terrible) sound effects. In its original version, Big Rigs didn't have any sound.
It has some AI. In Big Rigs, your opponent doesn't move away from the starting point at all. With the patch, it stops right before the finish line.
And most importantly:
In Gioventù Ribelle, you can't accelerate to faster-than-light speed by going backwards.
