is it just me or does firefox lag behind chrome by ALOT. I used to love firefox, until i found chrome that is. I just got FF4, and besides some appearence changes, it isn't all that great.   :-\
What do you mean when you say lag behind? In Benchmark test chrome and Firefox fight about the first place. In HTML5 both chrome and firefox have most feature of HTML5, while IE9 is falling behind.

If you think the appearance is the only thing to change, then you are pretty ignorant.

I like it how Chrome does best in the Google V8 benchmark, Firefox does best in the Mozilla Kraken test, and IE9 does best in the SunSpider test (the one MS used on the IE9 site).

About to bring this back (only 5 days) to ask a question- What do most of you use for tabs? Tabs Mix Plus, Tabs Group, etc.?

Is there any benefit in them?

I knew nothing of the outside world. I was just a frog in a well.

I know you can have multiple 'groups' and such. I'm just looking to try some out and I'd like to get the idea of what others use if any. I could just test both of them out, yes, but I'm also asking.

I use Tab Mix Plus for some of the extra control it gives me over how tabs operate (I can't even remember what, specifically, since it's one of the very first things I install nowadays).  I don't use tab groups - I use windows to organize subtasks, and virtual desktops to groups subtasks into larger tasks.

I'm generally philosophically against applications tabbing their entire window, but I think a browser is a good place to have them, if for nothing else for the sake of easier unwinding of the browsing stack.

I would honestly switch to Firefox 4 if it wasn't for all my bookmarks and cookies being linked to chrome.

Because I feel like it.

Just export it to Firefox? It asks about that during install.
For one thing, Tiff is not on any level what I would call a typical American.  She's not what I would consider a typical person.  I don't know any other genius geneticist anime-fan martial artist marksman model-level beauties, do you?

Give Xmarks a try. You can sync your bookmarks and saved passwords between browsers and computers. Doesn't hurt that it's free to use  :)

And even though we feel dead inside, we can still say, "At least we tried."

Or you can give up browser bookmarks entirely and make the switch to something like http://pinboard.in .  You can find bookmarks by tag or search, on any computer with web access.  It's like moving from ISP email to Gmail.

For the curious, one of Pinboard's leads was a cofounder of Del.icio.us, and the service is in many ways what the latter would be today if Yahoo! hadn't bought (and killed) it.

So they essentially want me to pay them 10 bucks for a bookmark upgrade?

Yes.  If you use bookmarks nearly as heavily as I do, it's well worth it.  Hell, Pinboard (and previously Delicious) easily saves me 5 hours a week, so the ~6$USD I paid for a lifetime account is... trivial.

As of now Mozilla is pushing their new release cycle.

Firefox 5 Alpha named Aurora and Firefox 6 Nightly Builds have been released

If everything works as planed we'll see Firefox 7 this year.

Ah, and here the logos ^^

oh and i cant mod chrome's settings like firefox could with About:Config  :D

Edit: i tweaked my FF4 thats why i can flip manga pages on mangafox and other sites and load the picture so fast  :D
