Nintendo 3DS at Launch

I'm really torn on it, to be honest. I like the built-in features and the communication in sleep mode while going through crowded places could be nifty if any achievements are made available or hidden features in games. I like the AR cards, I think they're a nice gimmick. However, there are no games coming out at launch that attract me in the slightest. In honesty, I'd simply be playing the same old DS games I have already like Pokemon and Rune Factory.

What's worse (or better) is that no games that are announced already intrigue me for another 6 months or so - until Ocarina of Time and Starfox. Sadly, both are remakes but would be nice to play again. Animal Crossing would have been enough at launch to pull me but that, even, has no release date listed.

Thoughts?

I've been playing with the thought to buy one, but probably just after the first price deduction. Would be my second handheld after the father of father of ... father of 3DS: Game Boy classic ;D

Temuthril:
Region locking (Europe says hi), bad battery life, not interested in launch titles.
Plus I have a backlog of 17 DS games, 14 PSP games and 3 Wii games, so not in a hurry.

I'll probably consider it when Ocarina of Time comes out and someone figures out how to play undubs on it.

SeventyX7:
I heard the battery life is 2.5-4 hours.  I'll definitely wait until they get a model that increases that.

occasional:
2.5-4 hours? For NDS games? Lame. I understand 3D and all, but the NGP will have PS3-like graphics and probably last 3-5 hours.

Still, I don't understand what consoles these consoles "portable." You basically have to use a charger all the time. Might as well as buy a gaming laptop, same battery life, better graphics, much more useful overall.

Good old GBC and GBA would last for days of Pokemon gaming before the indicator turned red...
