So ehm... what would the motivation be to break this record? As I see no point in it

For it to be broken they would have to use the announcement feature on the main page to spark heavy interest in the forum. Perhaps even have money involved to get other sites to link back to the forum. If that doesn't happen I doubt it will be broken this year.

Including guests I saw over 1200 people on line at one time not long ago. its just doesnt update. (Unless it only counts registered members?)
