The GTX590 doesn't seem to overclock that well. AMD has come out on top this time i'm thinking.

Where did you get your sources from?

TMRNetShark:
The 6990 is the better of the two I think as well because of the overclocking. Apparently there are just two 6870 cores in the 6990 that can be over clocked to the 6870 specs. Crossfire two 6990 OC'ed and you got yourself a quad 6870 setup.

The specs say that the card uses max 365W of power. So those 365W come out as heat.

It runs quite well on my 3 year old ATI HD2900XT on 1600x1200.

--- Quote ---Edit - I forgot to mention, other than PhysX technology, GTX 500 series does bring a new feature to the table which is Tessellation. Does ATI have this feature?

Yes, AMD started it by including Tesselation support in the HD2x00 series 3 years ago.

Oh okay, I didn't know that.

The card so far is quieter than the 6990 and does better with AA mode turned on. With 3GB vs 4GB, the ATI does have the upper hand in that area. The ATI 6990 uses less power to my understanding?

Proin Drakenzol:
Cool as it looks I think I'll stick with my ATi 5970. Which also has dual GPUs.
