ya i know about Ji-hi. But it only compares the first epp, which is usually where some groups will make mistakes. It usually isn't all that usefull unless one group has HORRIBLE typesetting or font or something. Or their translation is just utter shit. The ony thing i noticed when comparing UTW and M.3.3.W there was that UTW had an odd line about 'liplippy' which i have no idea wtf thats supposed to be. Every other group mentioned something about building builders?

As i said, normally i would compare 2 or 3 episodes back to back. I generally like to ask to narrow down what groups to compare. But this is one im planning to watch for anime night (originally planned later tonight) so i didn't have time to do that, and even if i did, it would be kinda lame watching ahead. That said, it sounds like most of you are saying UTW is the way to go. With a few even liking GG.... I'll say it right now, i wont be going with GG. I dont like their subbing style and how they flat out troll from time to time. It really is between UTW or M.3.3.W for me, and it looks like a lot of you like UTW.

Strange though, not one of you vouched for M.3.3.W. Did they do a bad job on this series, or did most of you just not bother to really check their release? I was hoping someone would have compared it. Anyway i'll probably pop in later tonight on the thread before i get watching. I was gonna watch some Valkyria chronicles first, to pick up where we stalled out back in February. If i cant decide, i may just watch some more Durarara! and leave the decision to next week

been gone for the 4th of july weekend. Just wanted to let you guys know that we didn't start on this weekend. Wound up watching a bunch of Valkyria chronicles, picking up where we stalled back in FEB when my system died. Then some DURARARA!. We will either marathon the whole thing this weekend, or watch half and the 2nd half next week. Do you guys think this show would work best marathoned in one sitting? Or would that be kinda overwhelming, and should it be split into 2 sessions?

Never got too many replies on the group. I guess ill d.load UTW in ites entirety, and maybe if i have room M.3.3.W for backup in case they seem screwy. I think i have about half of it from both groups right now. I wonder if UTW has a batch yet, i remember hearing they changed some terms near the end and were gonna fix it in a batch

*edit* i notice UTW mentions theyre working on the batch for Ano hana.. any idea if that would be done by friday? Wondering if i should wait on that or just d.load the missing epps.

Episode one was already released by Coalgirls. They've done m.3.3.w translation with UTW typesetting as first option, second option was just UTW. Which translation do you prefer and why? I've watched all of UTW and I just watched m.3.3.w's BD release of this. I'll have to re-watch UTW to make a decision on this.

I haven't seen m3.3.w.'s releases, but I'm assuming UTW will eventually release BDs of this show themselves, as they have done with all of their shows thusfar. I say wait till they do, though they'll probably take longer than CoalGirls.

but anaru's look, personality, and hobbies = perfection. i almost died from happiness when she presumably got Jintan at the rolling credits

so watched about 6 epps the other day. Really good series. The episodes flew by. One thing though. UTW's first couple eps: did the op skip a bit for you guys? It only did that for the first 3 epps on the HT setup downstairs. I was wondering if my files got screwed up somehow. It seems odd that the cpu wouldn't be able to handle these. There wasn't any crazy karoke or anything

Ill post my opinions on the show itself later, probaly after i finish it up. So far so good though. Has a very different feel than a lot of the other stuff out there

It probably has to deal with your sound settings, I think. I didn't get skips from UTW.

I've asked my sister (she's 10 years old) to watch Ano Hana with me, I watched episode one with her then went to another room and slept for few hours. Woke up and came back here and she was finishing up episode 6. She likes it a lot, she's planning to finish it later this week.

I will say Anaru was pretty meh, the storyline was the one that kept me watching on this one. . .the first episode made me expect an amazing awesome WTFPWNAGE drama. . .but it was just a drama, but they ended it up pretty nice!

huh... checked out oreno.imouto.org. There was a surprisingly small amount of pics there actually. Some pretty good ones though, and a couple good h ones

they reminded me that i read somewhere that her nickname is a play on word for anal or something in Japanese, is that true o_O Seems an odd nickname they would give as kids but it would explain why she disliked them using it so much it seems, lol. looks like she has at least one rabid fanboy in this thread though. Personally my favorite character so far is a tie between Jin's father, or Popo ;P

not the audio alone, the video stutters a tiny bit at various parts. Its strange because past episode 03 it doesn't seem to do it. I also notice ep 01 is a different length than M.3.3.W's version. It doesn't have the little extra menma saying at the end. I guess it didn't stutter for anyone else? ANyone else get the UTW version and have that problem, or am i the only one?  I wonder if i have bad files or if it just wont run properly on the computer.

cute about your sister. I actually may show this to my mother after i finish it if i deem it worthy. It may be up her alley. She's enjoyed a few shows but usually dubbed only stuff

You can tell how detailed the quality of the video is between the BD and TV-rips. I watched episode 1's BD a bunch of times now.
