Does CoreAVC even support 10-bit?
10bit decoding will be the major selling point of CoreAVC 3

CoreAVC2? ...

Anyone with a brain knows that when you say "Does CoreAVC support X?" you're talking about the latest version.

Yeah, that's what I read somewhere as well. Meaning for the impatient ones it's best to turn off CoreAVC2 for now and just go with CCCP, huh.

I knew nothing of the outside world. I was just a frog in a well.

Yup. Unfortunately, only CoreAVC 2.5.5 users who purchased very recently (60 days?) will get a free upgrade to CoreAVC 3.

I most dual core CPUs should be more than fine for 720p 10bit with ffdshow.

My C2D 2.4GHz struggled with CGi's 10bit Bakemonogatari 1080p, so maybe a quadcore for that. D:

For video playback: madVR + CCCP 2011-11-11 (use the bundled version of MPC-HC)

i think i have stumbled upon a bug, my AVI videos are stuck when i play them on WMP, i could move the slider but it does not play, MPC plays it fine.

it happened when i updated to CCCP 2011-07-30, rolling back to an older version is no good as well. wondering what caused it...

Edit: ohh... solved by switching the codecs used to Xvid, lawls. or any other codecs except libavcodec o.o

For 10bit playback you can't use CoreAVC 2.x.

For a fast CPU, is there even a reason for using coreavc? With the correct codecs, you can play anything with a fast CPU anyways

Do the post processing, de-band and silly frame interpolation to achieve 60fps.

I've updated the first post and added an excellent guide to play or/and encode 10-bit files.
