well; i made the mistake of arguing my point in an unattended vague, circuitous manner. i believe it is bad to label, assume or generalize anything. sure it we were conducting a quick survey we may assume most peoples avatars are something/someone they are sexually attracted to in at least an unconscious way (anybody up for a loli?) but to assume that is true for everyone is ridiculous. i.e well every dude whom has a male avatar is gay or every female whom has a female avatar is a lesbian is a bit much imo. oh yeah; they aren't any girls on the internet... hehe oh wait except for kurandoinu. personally when i see an avatar i am just thinking whether i like the art or not.
re: PSO.. i neglected to mention that there was a lot of backlash at the time regarding players using opposite sexed avatars. who cares if have 5 characters and 3 are girls..

And I have a girl because Rei is one of my favourite anime characters, and they tend to be more/better artworks of female characters anyway.

some people have an avatar featuring more than one gender. so when i realized this, i added that option.
