Good offline PC games?
« on: March 31, 2011, 11:20:12 AM »
Can someone recommend me a really fun RPG that I could play offline?
Because theres times when I don't have internet or anime :(
I'm looking for something like Dragon Ages but less intense graphics and such because my laptop fails.
I am a liar that tells the truth.

Neverwinter nights 1 and 2. Espesially the 2nd one is great, much better than dragonage in my opinion.
For one thing, Tiff is not on any level what I would call a typical American.  She's not what I would consider a typical person.  I don't know any other genius geneticist anime-fan martial artist marksman model-level beauties, do you?

The Witcher is quite enjoyable if you can get across fps peaks and random crashes. The crashes can be fixed by choosing XP SP3 mode though. I'm expecting The Witcher 2 to be more dumbed down for people who are not RPG experts which is a good thing in my book.

I should kill you for saying such blasphemy  >:(
A game has never ever become better when being dumbed down.

I will also recommend Arcanum, it's an old game, but is completely awesome.

+1 to these 2, the amount of time I invested in NWN 1 and it's 3 expansions exceeds any other game I've played besides WoW

Maybe I should have used another word than dumbed down, but either way, it seems like Witcher 2 will appeal more to me than the prequel. If they can make Witcher 2 appeaing to more people without sacrifising its unique treats then CD Projekt RED STUDIO have done well.

Less handing items over to people who are fucking 5 minutes away is not something I enjoy, the combat also seems more fluid instead of the old Diablo combat = click to attack.

I supposed you enjoy quick time events as well? Because that is what already killed The Witcher 2 for me.

shenmue qte=WIN

as for OP's request, I assume you've played the elder scrolls 3+4? if not you should
I found the gameplay of two worlds to be pretty good (just completely ignore the dialogue/story)

Single player can be okay, but the multiplayer lost its fun years ago.

Capitalism, Ho!

That made me laugh. I got about 15 mins into Recettear and I liked what I played, however something's been said in the fact that I haven't played it since those 15 mins (which was back when the game first came out).
There's nothing here, because I'm too lazy to put something here.

Yayiffications!

I'm playing through to get everyone's true cards right now. Making your loan payments is trivially easy in New Game+

The linear nature of your Euclidean geometry both confounds and befuddles me.

Survival mode is where it is at, it gets so damn hard!

I say this, the NWN2 expansion Mask of the Betrayer is awesome as well.
