Different browsing habits. Multitasking.
And that's only 30 tabs, I've easily had 50-100 occasionally.

get a tab manager then?

I'd say it's a bad browser if it doesn't include options on how to do things (like set new tab page to about:blank). Also I can't see the advantages of that kind of a tab behaviour.

Yes you can. In options, under On Startup, change it to "Open the following pages" and click add, then type about:blank. There you go.

actually, i myself, could open up 20+ tabs just under bakabt's sites, including the download pages and forums.

i just bookmark and close those that i`ve already finished with and reopen them when i need, so i got bookmark issues reaching 300+ bookmarks, manga alone reached 200+  ::) and when i backup my bookmark the file it self is 300kb  :D is there any bookmark manager there?

i have both firefox and chrome, chrome is neat when you only need to surf a few stuffs and its definitely abit faster than firefox when surfing but it has some issues when having more than 10+ tabs, it eats more ram and adds additional processor task. firefox on the other hand, can pretty much handle all of my 40tabs open at once without much additional resource hog(about 10-20mangas(2 on update page and the rest i`m reading all at once), 6forums from bakabt, 5from bakabt's main page, 4on google doing stuffs,10 on online shops that i`m keeping track of prices) and firefox is a multi-supporting web browser xD, its pretty much compatible with anything about the inthernet.

so i pretty much use firefox for mass surfing and chrome for fast surfing =P(firefox tho is eating 350mb of ram as i type this right now with 12tabs open)

After trying chrome out for awhile now im neither happy nor unhappy with it. Some sites dont want to load properly and i usually end up needing to restart the browser a problem i never had with firefox. Pages also load slower then firefox and sometimes not at all.(Meaning i need to re-enter the address or re-click the bookmark in-order for it to work) The only thing i like about the browser that firefox doesnt have is the bookmark bar which makes things a little easier.

In conclusion the browser is ok its not great. I find firefox to be more reliable, When i click a bookmark or enter a address it gos there i dont have to make a 2nd attempt like with chrome. When loading multiple tabs chrome really slows down to a crawl. I had a website opened then i opened two pages in another tab and the two tabs didnt even load until i viewed them and even then they were slow to load.

Lolwut? You're using the latest version, right? I've never had any problems like that. Only Firefox 4 can match Chrome's speed - all pre-4 versions are typically slower. IE9 can also match Chrome, I believe.

On multitabbing, though, each tab uses a separate allocation of memory. If your RAM is limited in either size or speed, multitabbing like crazy will definitely slow down Chrome.

^ opera can easily outrun firefox. though i don't use opera because a lot of sites ignore it's very existence(that is, they aren't optimized for opera).
