This show has done nothing but perplex and vex me.
It had its ups and downs. It's not as bad as what people claimed it to be, in my opinion. Thou' like you said, the censorship wasn't even needed. But you know why they did that ... $$$$$

When they censor something there could be couple of good reasons. Probably because it's too exploit to show on TV or it's showing during day time which generally is for the majority of the audience (young, teenagers, and adults) and the last reason is because it doesn't need to be censored but they do it to force otakus/fans to purchase their releases. But the main point of making money is that BDs tend to have some re-done works - like Horizon (they've re-done a bunch of different parts, this excludes censorship) and uncensorship, thus promoting otakus/fans to go haywire and purchase these goods if they want to see the uncensorship or because they like them or for whatever other reasons they desire - like collecting anime goods. A lot of shows now show the lines of clothes, panties, panty shots, tit shots, bras, and so on and forth because this tends to be one of the major keys for male audience to purchase goods (call it mo'e, cute, sexy, pretty, nude scenes, feminine sides, etc). Did I explain this enough? I'm not sure if I did.
Also, Limited Editions (BD favorably) thou' they are expensive are packed with good stuff and a special art case - none of the standard cases you usually see around. The standard packages cost much less but are dull in comparison.
There is a thread about this few pages back. (I can't find Horizon Vol. 1 for S1 Limited Edition ... and it seems like it's sold out or too expensive to purchase).
