Get in Agent. Believe it or not it is still up and Dan is still running it. Just tried to log in just to see if it worked and bam! I am chatting with Dan himself a few moments later.

So if you feel like a bit nostalgic and want to chat with oldies, then download the client, log in with your user name and join the chat room.... yeah, that means even you, KoC, get your stinkin' butt in there.

No, but i had a really nice chat with Dan himself.

Basically the chat room has been dead for a while, but Dan and his friends are using it instead of IM and as a simple way to transfer files (as you may know transfer in MSN is horribly slow). At the moment I am the only one in chat room, although pharismo was there briefly to say hi.

I am sure that KoC will stumble on this thread and then he knows what he must do.

And this time he will not scold me for advertising agent to noobs, because I never gave out the link. (I can give the link in pm if oldies forgot about it)

I wouldn't consider myself old (compared to you AceHigh... you got about 4 years on me here)... but I wouldn't call me a n00b either...

Actually this is my second account. My first account was lost with my email, but in fact I joined in late 2004, not 2005. So I am even older than you think, a second generation I believe (1 year for each generation and boxtorrents started in 2003 iirc)

You are not a noob, but from my point of view you are younger than those people that I bonded with back in 2005 and 2006, very few of them are still here so I invite them back to the little sanctuary of ours where we could freely talk without mods and their rules. (although some mods were hanging out there as well)

Ah Agent. I think its still installed on my computer. I visit every now and then but I am by far not an 'oldie' if you will.

I won't intrude... but I've had some really... what's the adjective I'm looking for... non-conforming technologically impervious friends of mine(ok, ok, three adjectives...) had used Agent before. I think they just used it to chat and send funny pictures from the internet to each other.

I never said that I forbid people from joining, I just won't help those that never used it before. I did advertise it once in 2008. I believe that is why for example Enzedder has used it. Also that is what caused this:

Also, I already convinced Daley to join in. At least one box girl I came in contact with. Now I need to find jello, moni and if possible other box girls. I mean you can't have Agent with only hateful people like KoC, there must be balance. Also Proin, get your ass in Agent as well.

There's actually quite a few of us who use other alternatives. Facebook and skype have been sporadic here and there.

Unfortunately, I'm on linux right now. I had issues with the older ver of wine... and AFAIK wine's being a bitch in the later ubuntus. I'll give it a shot though... damned torrents going so slow...

download agent and run it. It's not as needy for know-how like IRC.

Need to find it? Search up either agent, or Tidan and use his profile.

I'm about as old site wise. I never did like Agent though. Logged in a few times way back when and it just never clicked, I think it is because there is nobody I would like chatting with that frequents this forum. There is a large difference between forum posts and chat messages. ^^
