Twisted Metal
« on: April 08, 2011, 09:47:06 AM »
Twisted Metal is coming! It'll be released in October of this year. I'm getting ready to flame everything with Minion!

It's a PS3 exclusive, of course.

You just had to get that little sony fanboyism in there didn't you.  ::)

Anyway, i am soo looking forward to this game (I've been looking forward to this since they announced it forever ago). So glad they finally put a date on it.

If that's how you see it, then sure. :)

My favorite Twisted Metal has always been the first and second one.

I remember Twisted Metal on the PSP... those were the days of high school going around blowing other cars up...

I probably will pick it up when it does come out.

Mine too, everything after the first two failed hard. If this game will be as crap as I suspect it will, then making it a PS3 exclusive is like giving fuel to the PS3 haters, so they can bash the system even more.

Personally, when I tried Twisted Metal 3, I was so disappointed, that I looked for other titles. Vigilante 8 was a good replacement that satisfied my hunger for games featuring cars with guns shooting each other. Shortly after I played Interstate 82 in which I could upgrade my car with a huge variety of weapons and other cool stuff.

However in that genre only one game truly stood the test of time: Carmageddon 2. Something awesome in that game that can't be explained in words, not to mention that it's graphics were "decent" for a very long time after the release.
For one thing, Tiff is not on any level what I would call a typical American.  She's not what I would consider a typical person.  I don't know any other genius geneticist anime-fan martial artist marksman model-level beauties, do you?

I remember playing the first two when I was a kid, and probably the third one as well. The first one was good, but I think the second one polished off the concept a bit, even if I didn't like the levels quite as much. Should be interesting to see how this remake works out, though. I might have to cave in and finally buy a PS3.

Edit: Aw, crud. I spoke too soon. I thought it was a remake when I first read it. Owell, could still be interesting. I dropped it after TM3, so I don't know if they introduced flying, but the helicopter looks entertaining for PvP if it's selectable.

i bought a n64 and goldeneye and mariokart and goldeneye DOES NOT HOLD UP as well as some other games from older consoles.
Seeing as i set it up next to my snes and ps3 and xbox360 and ps2 i tried to judge it as objective as possible.

Things like forced inverted joystick are the devil

My claim that it was my favorite of all time might have been a bit farfetched, I suppose.

yea trust me when me and my friends put in golden eye the controls are quite awkward i think you can switch it off of inverted joystick but it makes all the other buttons absolutely retarded.

We said fuck it and switched to snes after a bit of mariokart64
SNES i have like 20+ games for. Although we usually stick to donkey kong country 2, super ghouls and ghosts, chrono trigger, super mario.

Other games lost a bit of their fun like offroad baja, madden 95, mortal kombat 1,2,3,3 ultimate and i think 4. Killer instinct, that clay fighting game with the snow man. college basketball, home alone, out of this world(always sucked) and many many more

I'm really excited about this game. The first one I had ever played was, TM3. Which at the time had amazing game play and graphics. Then eventually I went backwards and played 1 and 2 along with all the rest for console. TM is just a good game. I'm excited.

I have about 740 Snes games. I only play... like 15 of them though. lol
