moar game suggestions pl0x
« on: April 08, 2011, 11:41:36 PM »
Alright, so to everyone who gave me suggestions on the TBS/RTS games, thanks a million.

Now, anyone know of any good games with the "anime" style art, BUT doesn't require very much in terms of CPU? I mean, I have a netbook with a hyperthreaded atom processor, which is basically saying, "I have nitro boosters on a pulley wagon", It's still a piece of shit, lol

I can run most games from like, 2006-2007 ish relatively fine (not FPS's, mind you, I play those on console)

So anyways, I'm willing to take any game, like I said, with that "anime" art style, prefferably an offline game. It can be RPG, strategy, mystery, whatever, I need a good game to play.

So, suggestions?

Since you say you like Touhou (unless you don't like the games, which isn't uncommon....), I feel like recommending Ketsui: Kizuna Jigoku Tachi (aka, best bullet hell shooter of all time) It should run on your netbook fine in MAME.

Ketsui has an "anime" art style but you don't see it too long.  :D

I would definitely suggest using a GBA emulator and running games like Fire Emblem or Advance Wars. Beam Island with maximum funds basically turns into a Neo-tank destruction line.   ;D

As of native PC kind of games. This website is GREAT:

http://vndb.org/

Basically an entire database of visual novels (I think h-games are included... yay!) with anime everything and can easily run on your computer. Enjoy!

lol, I'm an advance war freak, I love the series.

As for VN's... You just reminded me, I need to redownload like 5 or 6 VN/eroge's (my old netbook fried, parents are jewish asians, so they didn't want to buy me a new comp that cost anything more than $400, hence I ended up with another netbook)

CAPITALISM, HO!

...I mean, Reccettear.

The linear nature of your Euclidean geometry both confounds and befuddles me.

Jewish dad and Asian Mom? I've seen that family combo before and it drove my friend NUTS. His dad kept on trying to get him to buy a shooter or a small motorcycle cause of cheaper insurance when the mom was like "No! No one will see him on the road and he will die!" What a priceless fam he had.

lol, no, both japanese, but I'm saying they hate spending money (ok maybe what I said was slightly offensive in such context, my bad)
