I work at the store. It was a display model and my boss took off $250
I get deals like this all the time

Haha, yeah. Inside discounts are always the best. That particular example is especially fantastic.
P.S. I think we lost our OP. Did you come to a decision?

i think he lost his alienware, his dad changed his mind about giving the alienware to him and he was grounded for a month because he did something bad =D kidding.
anyway, alienwares are still better than local laptops that you get for 300$, i dont even think thats a laptop anymore but a netbook. so keeping it wont do you bad, just reformat the OS clean and install only the necessary files.
buying anything more expensive than the alienware would do you worse than keeping the alienware, because you`d pay a greater price just to get a few more percent of performance increase, something like buying an i5 for 600$ and buying an i7 for 1200$ but the difference is miniscule(about 50% average performance difference for 100% more to pay).
Zalamander:
I bought the ASUS G73 i5 version this fall really happy with its performance.
Consider I picked between i5 dual core 2.4GHz and 50% more expensive i7 1.6GHz I think you gain more gaming performance and get more for the money since many games doesnt make use of many cores like i7 4 cores.

CPU: Intel i7 720QM 1.8GHz
RAM: 4GB DDR3
GPU: ATI 5650 1GB DDR3
HDD: 640GB
SCREEN: 15.6
Price $380

Are you sure for 380? ... Seriously? The specs on it are a serious kick. Where did you buy it from?!
kitamesume:
thats what we're on an uproar about, a seriously cheap i7 with monster specs for 380$.
how cheap do you guys get your computers for? desktop or laptop, i got my i3 2100 for 120$(processor only) just 2days ago and cheapest mobo i found that is decent(lga1155 Asrock H67M MB B3) was already 100$, the next cheapest was 150$(lga1155 Gigabyte GA-H67MA-UD2H-B3). for a laptop an "Acer - eMD730-332G25Mn" is about 611$, thats an old i3 without any GPU which is bull, thats why i`d love to have that i7 for 380$. Note:Cheapest Notebook(not even a decent laptop) you could get here is 300$ already.
