Need some suggestions...
(1/1)
Ketsueki:
I just got a new graphics card and I can finally play PC games that are 3D. ^_^ YEAH!!!
I have Mass Effect 2 (Got it free w/ Dragon Age 2) but that is the only game I have. (Probably getting Portal)
My favorite kinds of games are RPG's and Sports. I do like some shooters. For example, Black Ops was good and Crysis 2 is amazing.
So I'm open for some suggestions people. Let me know what you play, what you like. It doesn't have to be RPG, shooters or sports games. It can be anything. I wanna know what is out there and worth grabbing for PC.
(No MMORPG for suggestions though, i don't want to pay 15 bucks a month for a game.) But feel free to discuss the MMORPG's that are free like League of Legends or any other ones.

P.S. I appreciate everyone who comments and suggests some game. Even those who just throw in their two cents on a game is appreciated here.
TMRNetShark:
Perfect World is a F2P MMORPG.
In the P2P market, I LOVE Eve Online.
Supreme Commander 2 is a great RTS game, but I'm looking forward to Age of Empires: Online. Essentially AoEII but... online! Think of DotA, but with base building and no hero character. Or just like building your empire regularly in any strategy game, and then either go to war with neighboring countries or unite to take out other alliances. PvP to the extreme, yo!
Bullet Storm is a fantastic game that is really a good tool for letting off rage... Or if you REALLY like kicking people.

I will look a majority of those up. I played a demo for Bullet Storm on PS3. It was really cool. Kinda weird though. Good though.
I've heard of Eve Online... Never looked into it though.
So those RTS' are like Civilization then? Cause Civ is one of my fav RTS' out there.
Edit: Perfect World looks really good. I think that I'm going to give it a whirl here. Probably tomorrow though. Looks good though, good suggestion yo. :D

Uhh, as a big Civilization fan... please don't call it an RTS. Either call it a 4X game or a TBS (Turn Based Strategy) game. RTS refers to Real Time Strategy and is usually like Empire Earth, Supreme Commander, Age of Empires, Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds (personal favorite), or Warhammer 40K.
4X (Explore, Expand, Exploit, Exterminate) games are games like Civilization, Galactic Civilization, and (technically) Sins of a Solar Empire. The reason Sins of a Solar Empire can not (technically) be a 4X game is because it isn't turn based (it's fully real time) but has all the handicaps of a turned based game (no real means of rushing, MANY different routes to victory, and it takes a shit load of time to finish one game). The reason it CAN be considered a 4X game is because you do each of the "X"'s in order, and if you do it well enough, you gain this total satisfaction of killing off other enemy galactic empires on the fly (in real time basically)! Civilization cemented the 4X genre, but Sins of a Solar Empire really expands on the 4X model to a degree of almost crack/heroine. No seriously... I've played 2v2 games with 5 stars and 200 planets... total game time was about 76 hours (for one fucking match!). You decide whether you want to split up your fleets among border planets or decide to push out in one direction into enemy planets. That game that took 76 hours... lost 8 some odd capital ships constantly defending one important border planet and the entire time I was like "I've come to defend you, planet!" and that satisfaction of keeping that planet after like 10 or so enemy capital ships with fleet support tried time and time again to take it.
Oh yeah, you should probably play Sins of a Solar Empire, a lot of people here are fans of that game for sure. :)

Okay. I suppose those of us (Meaning me) who are new to PC gaming will have to get use to new lingo. lol
I can tell you seem to like that game quite a bit considering you just went on a Dr. Cox like rant about it. Haha. Which is cool. I like it, that shows passion towards it. Which means it's obviously a good game. :D
