That's the problem. Go with Sony, Toshiba or LG.

I don't know whether to argue or not. Samsung makes some damn good LCD/LED. Not sure about plasmas.

But that's not my issue. Panasonic and LG are supposed to be good plasma makers. I don't know of Sony being in that area, but Sony is pretty good at LCDs. Toshiba I've always seen as a weird one. It usually has decent mid grade stuff, but not great for the price.

If for some odd reason you got a burn in on a plasma watch a movie like finding Nemo, or some thing with a lot of blues. It helps to wash the plasma field on the screen. But new plasmas rarely have burn in problems unless it is an el cheepo. Panasonic, Samsung and LG are all great brands. Personally I'm a panasonic fan since they are using pioneer technology in their tv's.

But believe it or not at this point I see more LCD tv's with burn in damage thane plasmas. It's because people believe you can't burn an image in them and leave them on ESPN or the news all day everyday and then after a month or two change the channel and BAM!!! Burn in.

Edit ~ iPhone post failure. :-/
