What? WHAT? WHAT?!!?!

Nintendo officially lost me. They are gonna make their own format? Doesn't this really alienate third party developers because now they'll either have to use Nintendo to print their game discs or be boned on making the game? Isn't this a regression in technology? Just WHAT?!

I think we are being rick-rolled by Nintendo... if this is really true... Nintendo... you are retarded. You are not helping your case. You tried to be different with the Wii and it sorta worked, but you never got away from the problem with third party developers. This does not help. That's 3 different formats or size limitations that developers now have to deal with. Usually multiplatform games go with the Xbox 360's standard of 8.5 GBs for their space limitation... but this is retarded.

How big will the format be? What type of laser will be used? Is this actually SMART?

or the concept of using the archaic DVD format is fucking retarded and paying to use bluray is fucking expensive if you plan to sell 20 million consoles, and would prefer not to pay one of your biggest competitors for every unit sold

More rumored Wii U specs surface, hardware similar to Xbox 360.

Quad-core is nice. We don't know what type of RAM is being used and the specifications of the graphic card, either. Well, enjoy the news. I'm hoping this would be at least 250 dollars on its release.

I have a feeling that nintendo will loose next gen.s battle. . .
although Im thinking. . .whats next? you know. . . like nintendo did the huge revolution by switching from classic controls to motion stuff. . .PS and XBox followed a little late but now . . .I just see a graphic comptetition. . .or a specs competition. . .lets see who can put more RAM and a faster vid. processor

Im hoping nintendo does another "revolution" on the gaming industry. . .

Nintendo is focused on gaming. Sony and Microsoft want to be "everything". Nintendo's system shouldn't be a lot of money (hopefully) since they're not including DVD or Blu-ray playbacks. That's what a Console should really be, but I am still grateful for my PS3 being able to play Blu-ray.

If the system is cheap and 3rd parties support the system, then it should make lots of money. We still don't know what Sony or Microsoft have under their sleeves for next generation consoles so I can't comment.
