I found the anime just right and if they want to go the route that has been spoiled to me a thousand times now, they can do so in a second season. Technically, though, the show was perfect the way it was now, I don't want my pleasure being ruined if they were to go the manga way, especially when the spoilers seem to indicate that she's gonna be very different from what she is now.

Alright, I have a delight for those who didn't enjoy Usagi Drop anime series that much. I don't think I mentioned this (I keep forgetting to say it here), there is an Usagi Drop Live Action that was released a short while ago in Japan Theaters. It should be out on Blu-ray in few months.

Another thing I want to mention is, for those who don't mind and enjoy watching Japanese Drama (or Asian Drama in whole), there is a series called Shiroi Haru (White Spring). This has similar characters to Daikichi and Rin - However, the guy was serving in prison for 9 years and he's a cold, big, tall and dark guy. The girl is young and small, but apparently she has a deep secret. I'm sure some of you wanted Usagi Drop to be something like this - just a few of you, like me. :P

Great anime.  Too bad about how the manga decides to go with it; I couldn't even believe it went there.  I'm starting to feel bad for the Japanese; some of them must be going through some dark times.

I heard the manga ended shitty, the way the anime ended was simply grand. I wouldn't mind more from manga though into anime, but only if it didn't go that route. It would have been a LOT better if it stayed away from it.

One of the cutest animes I've ever seen.
The only thing that I didn't like about this anime was that Rin didn't want to take Daikichi's name :((

There's actually a reason she didn't take his name; it's a setup to what happens later in the manga series.  An unfortunate turn of events.

I suggest you read the manga only till the chapter the anime finishes and I think 3-4 next chapters, after that you will not like it.

It's pretty good until later in the manga, I have no effin idea why the mangakka did it, but he generally broke his own great story. I'm not spoiling anything, just giving a fair warning to NOT read too far into the manga.

Can someone post the chapter number where things go to hell so everyone here can avoid it and stop before hand ?

Don't go assuming everyone will hate it. I'm pretty sure some people will actually like it, or at the very least won't be as bothered by it than a lot of other people are. I haven't read it, but I'm willing to give it a try.

I've heard what the big deal is, and I'm still kinda curious to see what the fuss is all about.

Basically, the developments in the later chapters totally go against everything in the earlier ones (that the anime is based on). It's like you're reading a totally different story, even though it involves the same characters.

Just started watching the live action. I don't like that freaking main actress in there, but that's not gonna stop me from watching this!
