Theoretically the device could report its form factor to Windows but it's more likely that it will only be enabled by default on tablets. MS aren't hat dumb, well, I think they aren't.

I don't think Win8 is going to be a better alternative to anything, I'll keep Win7. If anything, I would like a Win7 upgrade where instead of the stupid Windows logo showing booting up, there is the Windows 7 Mascot.

EDIT: Actually, I would like to see a Windows 8 mascot...

This just in. Apparently, Hyper-V 3.0 powered virtualisation could be everywhere in windows 8.

--- Quote ---The proper implementation of virtualisation technologies though would make an already extremely secure operating system even more so, by vastly reducing the surface area for attack.  We could then expect to see Windows overtake other operating systems including OS X and GNU/Linus to become the most secure operating system on the planet.  Now that would certainly be an interesting day.

oh my. interesting day indeed...

Also, there was a new leak a few days ago (6.2.7989, x64, milestone 3 branch). Due to exams, didn't try it yet, but it looks interesting.

More like the OS with illogical defaults, randomly scattered option pages and half a million development teams working on their own stuff with no sense of common goal. :P
