Windows 8
zherok:
It's pretty much 7. Haven't had anything not run that 7 could.

The more I use my wife's laptop, the more I hate Windows 8. First, they did away with the start button completely. Now you can only access the start menu by hitting the Windows key. Not a big deal, but takes some getting used to. Unfortunately, it gets worse...
The start menu no longer puts your executable files into a concise lists organized into folders. Now, when you access the start menu, a whole other freakin' desktop pops up with all your executable files icons! You have to scroll left and right to see them all, and you cannot open the start menu and view your actual desktop at the same time. And, it gets worse...
Not all the computers executable files are on the new start desktop. If you should need to access the Control Panel for any reason, you'll have to right click somewhere to the side on the start desktop, and click the "All Apps" button, which brings you to a third desktop with all your computer's executable files shown with even smaller icons!
Also, kiss your favorite programs compatibility goodbye. All I want to do is create a simple macro, and I've yet to find a single macro create tool that works with Windows 8. I'm about the bang my head against the desk out of frustration.

dunno about the startmenu in windows8 but 8.1 has the button back.
on the other hand rocketdock still works so who cares about the startmenu :P
Clannad_92:
suitable word for describing windows 8 from my experience : its for touch screen ONLY, awkward when using it on normal laptop...
and also, several of my games seems to slow down in windows 8
it not that im gonna stick with windows 8, anyway
but windows 8 +point is it startup pretty fast and the color seems easy to my eyes (the taskbar)
kitamesume:
