For everyday business maid Cafe is better in my opinion, for events and such, that don't happen very often, cosplaying is nice and refreshing.

Yes! There are fellow Aussies ;D

Aussies naturally flock to maid café threads :D

Sydney is like the hub for Asians. On my trip to Sydney, I could not find 1 shop that didn't have an Asian serving. I'm just saying...

Anyway, I wouldn't be too surprised if Sydney had a maid café, being the most popular city in Australia. Just on a side note, Sydney isn't the capital of Australia, Canberra is.

Canberra is one of those made up cities like Ottawa I think.

Canberra exists... But it's so boring and stuff.
Sydney is where everyone flocks. And the only places where I've seen Asians serve is at the places like Chatime (Bubble Milk Tea stand)
or at Asian restaurants D:
Despite being one of the countries with the widest range of races, it lacks what some of us need most :(

out of simple curiosity I asked my mom and sister what is Australia's capitol, I'm a geographic from school education, and I'm happy I learned all capitols (of current world countries at the time lol) so I did know, but I heard several times that people misunderstood Australia's most popular cities with capitols, try to imagine my huge LOL when they were saying: mom-Sydney, sis-Melbourne after I asked them if they are going to bet their answers (our family bets are pure fun, the losing party makes tea or a cake :D ) so now I had my mom make me tea and my sis brings me a cake today :) YAY for me :D

I think I should post this in the achievements topic as well :D

At any rate, I am seriously thinking of starting this business now, I have found a few good spots, I was able to contact my friend in Japan and asked him if he could get some information from that other cafe owner, he seemed like a decent guy, maybe he will give me some good pointers :)

[Epicmealtime guys voice] What do you know about thread derailment!? Next gen irrelevance.

On the note of off topicness, Auckland (New Zealand) is the most isolated city in the world. Followed by my city, Perth. Now to tie that random fact in to the topic. Don't build Maid Café's in either place. Damn, that was a smooth transition from off topic to on topic.

Yeah, we do. But to many US/UK people I've met, Asian = slanted/small eyes.

There's like 1 (one) manga cafe in all of India, forget about maid cafes.
You should totally open up a chain of maid cafes when you have the money for it ;)

A manga cafe in India. Where would that be

I forgot, read about it online long ago. I think it was somewhere in south India.

What up fellow Australians.

I managed to find out that there is a rather small one about 40mins from where I live now. Right in the middle of what many locally call Mini Asia due to the high number of Asian populace living in the suburb. Great place to go and now even better... Cause its actually 500m down the road from my uni. >_<

Yo Enz, this is in Brisbane right?

Does this cafe have a website? Mind sending me a PM or something if you're not busy?

Also, did you manage to get round to animania a few weeks back?
