Do you/ would you watch anime on NDS/PSP/IPHONE/Android/Tablet?

DarkT:
I noticed that there are few resources for the Nintendo DS videos (dpg's), but there's quite a few for Iphone for some reason.

What gives? do you guys watch anime on the portables? Would you if it were more available?

*wonders*

I've tried some anime on the DS and it was so-so, I rather watch on Plasma, but I am mostly home - if I were doing traveling/bussing...

is not one of the three you mentioned but i do watch anime sometimes on my android phone. I'm fine with a 3.8inch screen. There are also a couple of video applications that use the ffmpeg libraries and support alot of video formats. nds/psp/iphone cant play alot of video formats so it requires re-encoding alot of anime to a different format... which makes me rage since everything i have is in a mkv container! when i want to watch something, i dont want to wait 30-45 minutes while it re-encodes, and another 5 minutes to look for a usb cable to transfer it to a mobile device (i have a hex-core processor so its not like im slacking on the cpu power... it just takes a long time)

In all honesty, if i had to choose between an hdtv and a mobile device, i'd watch it on the hdtv.... which means.... i should probably start carrying around an hdtv instead of my cellphone >< lol

DarkT:
Hmhmhmh, linkz or it didnt happenz! >.<

What cellphone you got? I didn't know android is a possibility... Hadn't crossed my mind ;).

I do wonder though, how it is... won't it drain battery life? Can it read soft subs from mkv? do tell :).

Pharismo:
youtube can stream the anime for you.

I have a G2 (called Desire-Z in Europe). Natively supports divx, xvid h263/4 and wmv so that pretty much covers most of the videos i come across. mkv still give me a problem when i try to load subs, but believe it or not, theres an phone app that can rip subs out of an mkv container and convert it to .srt, which i have no problem loading those over a video lol. some 720p videos play, but above that is out of the question (its a mobile device, i dont expect much lol). If im watching video, battery lasts me like 4-5 hours, thats more than i'd get out of a psp anyway lol

sorry, super blurry cam; i dont have a better camera lying around lol. Oh and some of these shows I do watch without subs :) last vid (gurren lagann) was mkv, had to rip the subs first to .srt which takes like 30 seconds so it doesnt bother me much lol.
