Dude, way to be stuck in 2004... what are your speeds? 1.2 Mbps down and 170 Kbps up? hahahaha
Actually 16mbit down, 0,8mbit up and I still can't think of a way to use it to the limit. Why would I order someone to dig up the backyard and poke a few holes in the building to get fiber which I won't be able to use to the limit anyway? Sounds like a waste of money to me. Besides weren't you going all hillbilly against new technology just a few days ago? Oh wait I almost forgot, obvious troll is obvious
There is a difference between "new" technology and "slightly better" technology... but then again, anything you think that is different and new is "instantly better than the old technology."
For example, Windows 8 will still be 64 bit, will still have security problems until patched at a later date, and probably look relatively the same as Windows 7. How is that being a hillbilly? Difference between YOUR DSL and Fiber-optics is that I can download (torrent or otherwise) while still getting great latency ( < 50 ms) while playing Counter Strike Source while the other person I live with with torrents all day long and plays his Xbox... It's not cheap each month, but it's totally worth it for the 60 Mbps down and 14 Mbps up. Difference? DSL wouldn't do that. So fiberoptics > DSL while Windows 8 will only be slightly better than Windows 7 with no real improvements.
A good example would be the iPhone... The iPhone 4 was the only real improvement in design and hardware over the first one... yet mindless amounts of drones bought the first one, the 3G, and the 3GS. Difference between each one of those? I couldn't tell you at all from the top of my head.
I have here Proof that the Xbox360 is better then the PS3.
You also cant compare consoles to PCs because a PCs hardware is just so much better so there is no comparison its like comparing a Lambo VS a Prius.
ON-Topic: PSN down doesnt matter much to me i play Xbox Live.
I like how you showed an article (more like a forum post) that compared GPU to GPU. Yes, the xbox 360 has 48 "universal" pipelines compared to the dedicated 24 shader and 8 vertex of the PS3. What that forum post failed to state is that the cell processor in the PS3 can pick up vertex shading from the standard 8 pipelines it has. It can still only use 24 for shader while the 360 can use more than that. Multi-platform games do have a better frame rate on the 360, but overall... the PS3 has better looking first party games. This is all debatable, but graphics aren't the most important thing in gaming... it's how fun the game can be.
