PSN is down..

<< < (18/39) > >>

AceHigh:
So, do you guys think it is related to the war of hackers against Sony ever since the whole GeoHotz incident? Or could it be that it is now easier to hack now that the code is known?

Takeshi:
Lol, my bank account is empty anyway at least for a couple of days. Though they could just take them once they're available, ugh, I hope it doesn't happen.
I bought something yesterday for my last money so they probably haven't come around to me yet.

I didn't really think something was wrong when PSN didn't work on my PSP. It isn't unusual for stuff to be done. But I didn't know it got hacked.

--- Quote ---First and foremost, we will ensure all users of the PSN, we did not and never will collect credit information from end users of PSN. Indeed, the end users were never our goal. This is a poor excuse from Sony, which has enabled them to obtain information about anonymous members. Which has led to the arrests of 40 anonymous members now considered to be in the FBI's custody.

Another important thing we feel must be stressed is the reason of our attacks. Yes, it started with Sony's (in our opinion) unfair treatment by George Hotz. But escalated when Sony, got the user data from youtube without any basis, which should not be legal, and simply shows that our methods match Sony's.

We believe Sony reap what they sewed, however, our attacks against Sony has stopped. For now.

Whether you guys on the Newz Editorial choose to use this information for something is up to you. We believe you are a good medium for contact with the Danish part of our "audience".

But again, I stress the importance of communicating that we, the anonymous, would never collect personal information on end users of PSN. They are not our target, but our fellow man. We are just trying to help out on our own "twisted" way, which we believe is necessary in certain cases.

(slighty edited to make sense)

I don't know if it was submitted in Danish or English, and that they then translated it.

Google translation, by the way.

Tatsujin:
This is truly the worst year for Sony. Those idiots ...

VG247 is nothing but Sony problems at the moment. The 360 is getting more people on so they're getting busy.

I'm sure they'll solve the problems fast enough and hope they fucking sue those hackers.

TMRNetShark:
Anonymous thinks it was unjust that Sony got their information off of youtube yet they think it's a good idea to post private company's information.

Which is it, Anon? Is a free internet that is open for everyone to see everyone's information or is it a secretive internet? You can't have an internet by only your rules.

Then again, mainly the lot of them are just misguided hackers who think they are heroes but really just piss people off. I get it, corporations do terrible things and that should be brought to light... but when someone (in this case, George Hotz?) breaks the law and is brought to justice, you lash out saying it's unjust?

I believe that is the definition of hypocrisy?

AceD:
I think Hotz is probably involved somehow, whether he new about it or supplied information to the hackers in the background...before his court case he dared Sony to sue him...a few months later this happens?
