that's what i mean. going back on topic youtube isn't really what i'd call a source for high quality vids. but i haven't really
looked into the lowest quality stuff here in BBT, so i'm pretty much clueless as to what's the lowest quality acceptable here.

If you take into account old VHS rips, it is much worse than youtube rips (for three 50MB parts per episode 480p anime rips, their quality is pretty decent).

hmm, i get it now. but still though. wouln't it be better to rip this thing direct from the original source rather than on youtube?

The web is its original source. It says that on AniDB, and Anime-Planet.
