AMD CPU = Dead Torrenting.

Whats that suppose to mean?

what he saying is the AMD cant complete torrents?
--- End quote ---
Some AMD CPU's have a fatal flaw that conflicts with the uTorrents algorithm, so whenever you use uTorrent your internet becomes worse than dial up.
--- End quote ---
How is that 'Dead Torrenting'?
Are you implying that uTorrent is the only torrent client in the world? Sigh.....
And, as it'd appear from that thread, Optimizer patches exist for that as of date.
And, I'm pretty sure that no recent AMD CPUs have that problem, I'm sitting on a Dual Opteron config as I write this and it has absolutely no problem utilizing the 1gbit/s connection it's hooked to, with uTorrent or not.

::) Whether i "only" used uTorrent or not and i tried Vuze, Firefox Plugins, Bittorent etc etc the issue back then still persisted. Frankly i'm just glad to have a powerful, stable CPU now.

And? The issue in question has been fixed. It sounds more like a windows failure than AMD failure. The drivers for that particular CPU weren't included. I see this as no reason to disregard AMD CPUs in general.
And I say that as an avid Intel user. Any and all AMDs I use are for my work, my personal desk is still an i7. AMD is simply the way to go if you wanna go 'cost effective and functional', as it seems.
