It was not the same model, but when I was a little kid my aunt gave me her old Casio watch as a gift. It was like the F-91W, same functions I think but this one had a little circle in an upper corner to indicate AM/PM, the alarms, chronometer running, and some other things. That was like 15 years ago, and my aunt already had that watch for a very looooong time. It was the most durable [electronic] thing I ever had. I had to replace the rubber band a couple of times (I was a spoiled kid, God knew what I did with the watch xD), and after some years the corners of the plastic case broke, so the bands fall off and it was not possible to wear it anymore. Eventually the case broke but the "actual" watch inside it still worked flawlessly.
Then I got a similar model but with a calculator (it had no light though, I later believed that it may had been the most basic model with calculator
). Still, it was awesome for math classes
, I was still in elementary back then. The downside of this watch was that the little rubber buttons wore off with time and they "sunk" into the case to the point that it was hard to operate them. Opening the case and pushing them outside solved it, but after a few presses they sunk again. The watch worked perfectly and the calculator was still usable. But at some point it got annoying and I wanted to replace it.
In the first year of high school I got a new one, similar to my first model. But it was the newest one. At least it was displayed in stores so it had the best part of the show
. Big ad signs saying it sported new electronics allowing for a 10 year battery life. It also looked better. The old, tiny metallic buttons of my first model that, with the pass of ages, "sank" inside the case and became difficult to press (much like in the calculator, but those rubber buttons were worse), were now bigger, plastic buttons much more "friendly" to press. The screen was also bigger, with very easy to read numbers and better illumination. Even the alarms had a few tones of "beeps" to choose from. I loved it from first sight.
And well, I used it for 7 years at least. By that time I got my first cellphone and I got used to use its clock, dropping the use of watches altogether. Still, now, almost 10 years had passed since I bought it. After seeing this thread I went on looking for my old loved Casios, at some point of time I had all of them stored in a drawer. But now I only found the last model I had inside old shoe boxes (God knows how it ended there), the calculator one and my first watch vanished
. It still works flawlessly and the time is accurate even on minutes

I didn't touch it in years, yet the time matches the internet-sync'd time of Windows. Curious
. The band is not he original, but the plastic case is intact. The model is
F-201W. Again, it's the most "basic". The other models have more functions.
It has almost 10 years, so the battery should be about to die. I never replaced. Those flashy signs advertising the battery life were true after all
. I'll keep it somewhere safe now, at least as a memory of my high school years ♥
