[Game] しりとり / Shiritori / Japanese word chaining

<< < (37/178) > >>

Kyrdua:
槌の子 【つちのこ】 tsuchinoko (n) mythical snake-like creature

ph4zr:
子猫 【こねこ】 koneko: kitten

Cypher:
国王陛下(こくおうへいか):(His/Her) majesty the (king/queen)
(click to show/hide)Just asking if it's allowed to say things like 槌の子 【つちのこ】 tsuchinoko since it's a concept that is described by two words linked by の

ph4zr:
雷 【かみなり】 (n) thunder; lightning;
(click to show/hide)Other than a few changes, I'm mostly just going by wikipedia and feedback.

--- Quote from: wikipedia ---Phrases connected by no (の) are permitted, but only in those cases where the phrase is sufficiently fossilized to be considered a "word".

--- End quote ---
So I'm inclined to say yes, as long as its considered a set, singular concept. So nothing like XX のへや, describing ownership or otherwise acting as a general modifier.
/unless there are reasonable objections as to why it should be disallowed

saidin1015:
利己【りこ】
riko: self-interest
