But why? A new game starts right away, and anyone can post a new word after someone loses. They're certainly free to take up that convention when they post a new word, but it doesn't seem like it'd be purposeful to make it a rule.
Being a frequent devil's advocate, I can certainly think of one or two reasons for it, but I'm not sure they're particularly compelling.
