Well, for multi-platform games.. yeah, in the past they have run better on the 360. But not anymore.

Im talking about games in general not the same game on both systems. I've played the xbox360 for a long time and i just got a PS3 and the games i've played on there just dont run as smooth as the games i've played on the Xbox360.

Generalizing much? Try some first party games or exclusives on the PS3... I assure you, "Halo" can never do what "Killzone" does in terms of visual blur, lighting, and the overall video presentation of Killzone 3 (even Killzone 2 looks fantastic). Like I said, multi-platform games do look better on the 360, but the PS3 exclusives looks drop dead amazing compared to the 360 exclusives or first party games (except for Gears of War of course).
That's off topic though, I just places my pre-order for MW3 yesterday. If the non-free part of Elite's features are good enough to warrant a price of like $4.99 a month, it might be worth it with all the map packs that I would get as the added bonus of that monthly fee. Yet I have a PS3 and get map packs 1-2 months after Xbox Live (damn you Activision and your sly dealings!).

Gears of War is done by Unreal Engine 3 dude, check your sources again. Unreal Engine is really outdated and the graphics isn't so awe-jaw-dropping. Killzone 2 and 3 (specially 3) are more presented to make you feel as if your in a theater or in real time while shooting shit. You do need proper equipment to have such experience and oh I experienced that shit. Pretty amazing. If anything, Uncharted 2 (and 3), GT5, fucking what else is there? MGSIV, the unreleased Last Guardian, God of War 3 and a whole lot more. Sigh, play the games and compare those exclusives.
My brother plays MW series more than me and he says he could careless about the maps. He does enjoy shooting shit around and ranks pretty high in the game.

Lol, what? Gears of War looks like a great game. I don't know what Gears of War game your looking at. Last time I checked, Unreal Engine 3 (which Gears runs on) still looks amazing, albeit updated with the passing of time.

It is a great game and does have great graphics. But that against PS3 games? Really dude? Unreal Engine 3? Did you try to put them side to side with other games and compare? Why didn't Gears of War 2 beat Uncharted 2 within that year for best graphics? A lot of people will argue that it's all about game play which I agree. But if your gonna sit there and argue about "Gears is SUPER AMAZING GRAPHICS better than PS3---" -facepalms- ...
Also, that's done on a PC with high end graphic cards. That's not done in real time either. Do support your statement with console graphics next time.
This thread is about MW3 so back on-topic please.

LOL. When did I ever say that it had the BEST graphics. I said they were GREAT... not THE BEST. Learn to read.

The argument was about scaling Gears of War to PS3 games dude. And in a way, it was a GENERALIZED statement and not pointed all at you. But since you took it that way and went "LOL LEARN TO--" shut the fuck up please? O_o;; ... Trolling is really bad, TMR.

Obviously when you quote me and then "but if you're gonna do said thing"... I might want to defend myself, right? It's neither here nor there. If you didn't MEAN to direct it at me, no harm done. I'm not gonna be biased and not say that Gears looks good. I've played Gears before, it's a great and fun game with great graphics. It's by far not the best graphics (That title is either reserved for Uncharted 2 or MGS4), but I'd say it's up there in the top 15 or top 20.
Back to topic, and since we are talking about graphics... who thinks MW3 is just the same engine as CoD:4? I mean I think there are even textures that are exactly the same from MW and MW2. This is definitely a minus in my book because BF3 definitely has the superior graphics AND superior online experience (with wide open maps and vehicles of course). They either need to add a killstreak that is an AC-130 gunship OR have like an EMP bomb that kills the enemies sights/radar/nuke ability. Even then, I need to be convinced that MW3 will do something that BF3 can't.
Hiero:
MW3 and BF3 are two different types of play, so saying BF is superior because they have more open maps and vehicles (which is cool, don't get me wrong), I wouldn't say it makes it better. I haven't played BF but my brother has and if you want a fast paced game than CoD wins.
For your statement on the engine used - here's a little say from the Blacklight developer on Elite and the series.

Psh, he isn't wrong at all. Not only has Activision made a lot of money off of CoD, but they are really pushing it by milking it even more with subscription based content. Hopefully it's useless and doesn't require you to have it to enjoy the FULL online package (playing online, stat tracking, heat maps, etc.). I wouldn't care if they charged monthly for, say... gun skins or different player models? Just don't charge for anything that will give the paying players the upper hand.

Battlefield can be a fast paced game as well depends on the situation. I sometimes run n gun in BFBC2 and it gets pretty fast paced.
