Modern Warfare 3 + ELITE Features
tomoya-kun:
It's completely unrealistic and pretty stupid.

No aim-assist on PC, so you have to aim at guy before you zoom in. On consoles you just aim sort-of at the guy and when you zoom the game aims for you. CS doesn't help noobs, MW2 and pals do, A key difference. and sometimes short scoping sessions get called quick scoping, but they are not really the same.
There's also the hilarious phenomenon of quick scopers looking down on normal snipers by calling them "hard scopers".

YEAH, I've actually heard this before and I think it's quite funny... I'm just thinking to myself "Well, at least I'm not cheap and have an automatic weapon with NO recoil." :P

Single shot weapons often have more recoil then any automatic gun in games. You would think that the single shot would be more accurate and have less recoil.

Not technically... an automatic has a bolt that also lessens the recoil, but yes... spraying a full clip of an automatic will have a TON of recoil. On the flip side, the L96 that's in Black Ops is a .338 Lapua round (8.58 mm versus the next largest caliber in the game which is a 7.62mm) does have some deadly recoil in the real world.
