Does us no good since humans can only see in 30 Frames per second. If you play on PS3 your FPS will prolly drop to 30 from 60 which might be why they are doing it. (Note: The Xbox360 doesnt drop in FPS ever)

You forgot to mention that it's 30 FPS with motion blur which games do not do - at least correctly.
--- Quote ---Some computer games try to simulate motion blur by blending the current frame with the previous frames, so that previous frames are still visible for a moment. This makes moving objects smear across the screen. This is not real motion blur; it does not look good and is a waste of processor power.

Gee, I wonder why people play with CRT/LCDs @ 120hz rather than 60hz. Probably because you can tell the difference.

Ahhh, I use to think that... but that's not reality. And they are making it 60 because it will drop on the PS3? The only reason why PS3 has frame rate issues on multi-platform (key words here) games, is because most developers make it for the Xbox 360 first and then port it over to the PS3. Guess what? BF3 has been shown on the PC at E3 and on the PS3 when they had the demo on The Jimmy Fallon show. This is because developers realized (with L.A. Noire's Team Bondi) that it's easier to make the PS3 the lead platform and port to the Xbox 360. Why they do 60 fps over 30 fps is because of twitch gaming of MW3 versus the slower approach of BF3. True, I would rather have a brand new engine. At the same time, only doing 30 fps runs the risk of slow downs (especially in multiplayer) if you A. have a lot of vehicles on screen... and B. A lot of explosions at one time... If the game isn't properly coded, you might lose just because the engine wasn't up to snuf (and that's completely out of your control). With 60 fps in MW3, that would RARELY happen unless it was lag related (then obviously you need a better connection :P).

If im reading this right then i agree that MW3 should be a higher fps because of how fast paced it is rather then the slower pace of Battlefield so only 30 FPS is needed for that.

Correct. To do what DICE wants to do in BF3, they will need to only use up to 30 FPS. Obviously, this will allow them to make their gameplay more varied compared to MW3. MW3 on the other hand is about having a better reaction time then your opponent, hence why it NEEDS 60 FPS. BF3 and MW3 will both play well, but it is a true test to see who is better at the military shooter genre. Pre-CoD era, there was Medal of Honor which had. Allied Assault was one of the greatest games of the time along with Frontline. Those two games made EA the king (of the time). Then it was a battle between CoD and BF1942... to which I answer... I loved both the games. Once again, BF2 and CoD 2&3 were ALL great games. It just went downhill when EA went with BF:BC 1 & 2 and allowed Activision to gain the head lead with MW 1 & 2 and Black Ops. I at least hope it goes back to how I felt about CoD and BF1942 with MW3 and BF3. I am quite interested on IF's take on what WW3 would be like... and BF3 will just be awesome with vehicles and running people over with them. :D
