Complaining is going to accomplish... what exactly?

EA has been doing it for years... every year. Yeah, other publishers can be guilt to blame (coughSquarecough).. but at the same time, it's hard to bring in a unique IP for every game you release (coughBrinkcough)... even if your previous games were great (coughWolfensteinEne myTerritorycough). There will always be squeals to good literature, arts, videogames, movies, TV shows, and even anime.

What I'm trying to say is, we like more of what we already have, so games like CoD give us more things we wanted in online shooters! A points competitive game where you get to test your skills against other people in reflexes and accuracy (PC only). Then again, CoD on consoles is kinda twitch gaming, but that's just as challenging!

Not to mention as a human being... we don't like change. It's in our nature. *Shrugs*

A good example of this is anyone who plays sports games that buys the new one every year.
Most sports games don't change much at all on a yearly basis. It usually takes 3 years for a sports game to change something
significant. Yet we still buy them. I for one do. Even though I tell myself now to, I can't help it. lol

Just for the new roster's I'll shell out 60 bucks for the new Madden/NBA 2K game when they come out. Which is because I don't trust users who makes rosters
to make them correctly and I am tooooo lazy to do rosters myself. So next best thing, wait for the new game to come out. lol

Most gamers who are serious bout said sport does what I do. Those who aren't serious about sports games are still playing NBA Live 05. lol
(Just examples by the way.)

The only reason I buy Call of Duty games is because of the movie-like experience, I could care less about multiplayer, and about owning people. Yes, things pretty much stay the same throught Modern Warfare 1 and 2, but that's fine with me. I'm just happy I can play them on my laptop. ;D

Last summer I finally started playing Modern Warfare after having purchased it it months ago, I had no idea that I had such a game waiting for me, then I tried Modern Warfare 2, and I got the same kind of awesome experience. Then I went and tried Black Ops with mixed feelings, but still a feeling of an awesome story being told.

Same reason why I think Homefront will be mostly played by people who enjoyed the storyline as short as it was.

I don't see any problems with another modern warfare, previous instalments have been okay. They are what they are at the end of the day, run and gun first person shooters.

Each to their own, but with anything that people complain about, if you dislike the genre or specific series then you don't have to play/buy it.

The one thing I hope they bring back for this next MW is Spec Ops mode. I loved playing split screen with my uncle. We had some good times. :D

MW3 teasers take you to New York, London, Berlin, Paris.

The brief movies introduce you to four major cities, all of which will be featured in-game – New York, London, Berlin and Paris.

All of them are shown as being attacked by enemy forces, supporting the “World War III” scenarios rumours.

All the teasers feature Vladmir Makarov’s voice. From what I can make out, his words at the end can be roughly translated as, “One… will destroy the enemy’s hope for victory.”

I heard(from kotaku I think) that there will be spec ops, and that there will be missions which work a lot like zombies, where the enemies come in neverending waves. They'll probably have guns, though, so I doubt it will be as good as zombies.  :-\

I've always felt that IW games were much better than Treyarch games, even though my first CoD was WaW. The Treyarch engine just feels wrong, and clunky, while the IW engine feels really smooth and good.

I'm actually hoping that BF3 will destroy MW3. CoD needs to die, it's success is influencing a lot of games, and I really dislike it. Every shooter is compared to CoD, which pissed me off. If BF3 goes back to the BF2 gameplay they'll actually have a chance of destroying CoD, however small it may be. If they continue with the Bad Company style they'll probably stay where they are, below CoD. -.-

If Raven is able to fix the problems of mw2, and NOT follow BO, then this may be a great game, seeing as this is Activision we're talking about I doubt they will do anything like that though. They'll probably copy BO in everyway possible to please all the kids who bought BO as their first CoD game.  :(

Because I feel like it.

Whilst I agree wholeheartedly, It doesn't matter how good BF3 is, it'll never kill CoD. Same goes for any mmorpg, plenty of them are much better that WoW yet there is no WoW Killer... odd.

Give it a couple of years, devs will see that they need to make games DIFFERENT from CoD rather than emulate it, because CoD has CoD boys and their game will have to appeal to everyone else...

Well, FPS games and MMORPGs are completely different things. WoW always has something new to do, at least for people who play it normally, ie 1-2 hours a day. CoD is repetitive after a few weeks. Look at Black Ops, everybody who played previous CoD games got bored after a month or two.
MMORPGs, like WoW, have an ingame community, which almost forces you to go online every day. If you don't have WoW friends, you won't be playing WoW for a very long time.

I heard a lot of people say that BO would make or break the series, and I honestly think it barely held on. If Mw3 has the same feel, adding the fact that mw3 will have microtransactions & a great BF3, I don't see why people would stick around for a 9th CoD game.  :-\

So I don't really care if mw3 is good or not, if it's good, then I'll be happy and buy it(probably will anyway). If it's bad and ruins the CoD series, then I'll be happy and look forward to innovating FPS games.

Because I feel like it.

People stopped playing Black ops because it's shit. This is a universal fact. MW1 was by far the best then MW2. WaW wasn't bad either on par with a bunch of mediocre stuff like sector 8 but BO was actually a bad game. CoD will survive for at least 13 games. Too bad it's not the sort of FPS I like

WaW was the best CoD.  I loved the WWII campaign.

HAhaha, what? People still play mad Black Ops... I don't know where you are looking for your facts. If not the online, the zombies online is still strong as anything.

Compare the size of the people pre BO goning "HOLY FUCK THIS WILL BE AWESOME"
To the amount still playing. At least in my area BO has been abandoned by all but two people.
