HAhaha, what? People still play mad Black Ops... I don't know where you are looking for your facts. If not the online, the zombies online is still strong as anything.

Compare the size of the people pre BO goning "HOLY FUCK THIS WILL BE AWESOME"
To the amount still playing. At least in my area BO has been abandoned by all but two people.

Please don't make up facts... Black Ops is the most played game on XBL.

Personal experience outranks a top ten, currently most played games list without raw numbers.
There must a be a reason for tanking things. And all must be in certain balance.
But what that balance is, must depend only on you, nobody else.

How does personal experience outrank top ten in an online game? Online games means anyone can play with an internet connection, meaning you can play with anyone in your country and in any other nation. Just because your personal group of friends doesn't reflex universal stats, plus...

People stopped playing Black ops because it's shit. This is a universal fact. MW1 was by far the best then MW2. WaW wasn't bad either on par with a bunch of mediocre stuff like sector 8 but BO was actually a bad game. CoD will survive for at least 13 games. Too bad it's not the sort of FPS I like

Universally =/= personal experience... Saying that people have universally stopped playing BO is not even close to fact.

Don't be sorry... if your experiences with Black Ops has been less than favorable... you have a right to voice that opinion and show that you prefer the type of mechanics that IF uses in Modern Warfare series than WaW and BO. This topic is about MW3 and how it will differ from BO (the lastest of the CoD franchise). I have played both Treyarch's and IF's CoD's and I like them equally. IF has a better focus on strictly multiplayer and it's mechanics while Treyarch has maybe 80%-90% of what IF has... but zombies make up for that extra 10%-20% (if not more). MW3 will have no zombies, so MW3 will have to have their multiplayer really appeal to me if I am to continue to play online for a long time.

Without a good singleplayer, I probably won't buy it.

I loved how the black ops campaign tied in with the World at War one.  That was brilliant.

Anybody who likes BO, and has played the previous CoD games really has a twisted opinion on what makes a game good.
I don't play CoD for singleplayer though, so I don't care about the singleplayer of mw3 or any CoD.
IW's games have all been great, but mw2 got ruined by lacking post launch support. Treyarch has post launch support(for BO), but their games just feel horrible, and they always try to make big changes which always backfires(except zombies, but I'm really talking about the online MP).

Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer Features Battles in Brooklyn, Clash in Mogadishu
Does anybody have an opinion on the new styles they have put on the weapons? They seem to be putting a lot of effort into making the weapons look modern & complicated, like adding all the accessories and a small bag to the AA-12. :/
Plus the new lighting effects look amazing.  ;D

Because I feel like it.

MW3 pre-order poster features made-up Time cover

GameStop’s outed a double-sided poster for Modern Warfare 3 as a pre-order bonus for the shooter, which features an actual Time cover based on the game.

One side of the poster will feature the cover art for the game, whilst the other side is masked by the retailer in a promotional email sent to those involved with PowerUp rewards, But a Joystiq tipster sent an image of what it looked like.

The poster cover references ongoing events in its story, as well as events that happened from the end of Modern Warfare 2.

UK retailers started taking pre-orders for the shooter earlier this morning. The game will launch on PS3, 360 and PC on November 8, although the date hasn’t been formally announced by Activision as yet.

they already released the official site
http://www.callofduty.com/mw3/map.html

and the world premiere trailer will be on May 23...

the feedback for MW2's multiplayer has motivated IW for better support of the sequel...

59.99 for a re-re-rehashed game with a 5-hour campaign and blind date multiplayer full of 13-year-old retards who will scream "h4x0r" every time you kill them. Have fun.
All you have to do is study it out. Just study it out.

Are you kidding?

Ok, the single player is played through maybe two times for me (once on normal, than on Hardcore)... then it's all multiplayer. It's new maps (for the most part), same guns, and slightly better graphics. What makes it fun compared to games like Halo 2 or Reach is the same customization in your character to match your play style. Team Deathmatch is most played gametype, but there are many others to choose from as well. The 13 year old that yell out or are super annoying in the game are actually kinda of fun.

You know why? Cause ADULTS (like you and I) yell back at them telling them they got owned and it's funny hearing a kid have a fit because he died 13 times with only 2 kills. PRICELESS.

The franchise turned into a souless cashcow years ago and Activison is still milking it like there's no tomorrow. Enjoy paying full price for what is essentially an expansion pack. I'm not making that mistake again.

I'll see if there is any notable improvements.  BF3 looks to be much better.

I can only hope... I was disappointed by both Bad Company games... I mean good story line in a BF universe, but I wasn't drop dead addicted to the multiplayer.

Modern Warfare 3 engine “beyond” MW2′s.

First Trailer for MW3. Enjoy!

It looked to be a cool trailer... but it still looks like the same god damn engine. I didn't even see any real improvements besides maybe the water effects?

Against Battlefield 3, it doesn't look as good. Personally happy it seems I'll be able to run it. Though would probably bitch if I had a gaming rig.

It's the same engine/graphics because they develop for the 360, which obviously puts a huge restriction on how good the game can look.
