I'm in rather the same boat- though I play objective games nearly all the time, I would take the guy with more plants/caps and a horrible k/d than the person with none that's just racking up kills, even if kill streaks help.

I'm not sure if you're referring to me or Zat, but I would rather have someone playing the objective than sitting back and getting kills. If your team is winning then I see nothing wrong with sitting back, but when I'm on a team that loses and you see people that have X many kills and haven't tried to cap/plant then they should stick to TDM. There are exceptions and different moments when this doesn't always apply (cutting enemy team off in HQ while your team caps), but for the most part it applies.

I'm not sure if you're referring to me or Zat, but I would rather have someone playing the objective than sitting back and getting kills. Objective matches are different, by far. The majority of the people playing the game are playing TDM though and camping in a TDM cannot be stopped (or any match type for that matter). I was referring to more to Zat who thinks complaining will end all camping.

I mean yeah, I hate camping... but not as much as n00b t00bes mainly because I never really have a chance to fire back. Campers can still be surprised by good players or at least people who have good reaction times (twitch gaming).

Great response! I can really see your side of the argument! So much so that I'm completely turned off CoD: Black Ops that I just broke my Blu-ray disc of it out of frustration. I believe that people should always play the way I play because that's the only FAIR way to play! If someone camps or n00b t00bes, I will just report them for cheating! Technically they are cheating because camping is cheap and should not be allowed whatsoever...

• Easily shoot and hit someone running by
• Enemies are unaware of your location (unless Spy Place or SR71 are present)

Disadvantages of camping:

• You can be easily killed (since you are stationary)
• You can easily be killed by a grenade or blinded by a flash
• You can have someone easily sneak up on you
• It is possible no one runs by your "camping" spot (or rarely anyone)
• After the first time someone has been "camp" killed... they know where you are and can easily flush you out. (Unless you are INCREDIBLY dumb and consistently get killed by a camper 3 or 4 times which it kinda sounds like you have)

Yeah, when one person is in a spot where there's no windows and only one door.  That sure is easy to quickly shoot precisely while other people are shooting at your back.

ill chime in on this one as i used to play several games on a very high level of competition for FPS years ago.

There is a difference between the guy who has a good kdr and the guy who is carrying his team.
I cant tell you how many times ive won rounds in matches and scrims cuz the retards we were playing had a kill whore on their team who was more worried about the kill then defusing the bomb or planting it.

Like wise mindlessly trying to plant the bomb or just planting the bomb doesnt equate to good.  Especially in pubs its not uncommon to be able to sneak by the no teamwork team guarding an objective and plant. Then get killed and the bomb gets defused instantly, this = USELESS.

Like wise the guy who camps 1 spot with a sniper and has a great kdr but doesnt try to plant when he is inevitably the last retard alive  because you watched him miss 4 sniper shots and he is still trying to kill the last 2 people.

Aggressive actions and good KDR usually equates to the other team losing if you are doing it consistently, as it often results in you either killing lots of the other team and living or killing some and dying early on leaving your team hopefully at a body count advantage.

You toss a grenade in there... if they run out you shoot them. If they stay in there, they will die (or be blinded... at which point... you STILL SHOOT THEM).

It's called Hardcore... although I don't recommend shooting your team mates. If you are fed up with your team mates camping... go camping with them. You complain about teamwork when you can teamwork your camping! Two or 3 people camping is ten times better than one. Oh, and before you say it's not fun or that's not the way you like to play... well.. that's metagame. Either find a way to be the lone runner or camp with your team. If neither of those options appeal to you... go outside cause clearly videogames that don't do something exactly your way frustrates you (just like the certain "group" of underaged players complaining about being pwned all the time...).

So clearly all of CoD:5 and BO fans are gonna be rejoicing in great pleasure. Just because of that mode now, I'm totally gonna pre-order it. Now we have waves upon waves of never ending enemies... with guns. I still hope it starts off slow like the player has only a pistol and must gain points to acquire new and better guns. Finally, there MUST be a random box with a chance of getting a super powerful gun.

Everyone remembers the AC-130 gunship mission in CoD:4 and MW2, right? What if when you were playing Co-Op in the new "endless enemies" mode, the enemy would have a chance of dropping the "AC-130" power up (similar to a Nuke in Zombies). For like 30 seconds you can rain down death on zombies with those three badass guns. That would be an excellent idea!

I think I know what the problem here is, ya'll need to go and play Battlefield 2! or BFBC2 get a sense of large scale, vehicles, and OBJECTIVES. Then you can complain about teamwork and no one going to the flag, or repairing your tank, or shooting down that damn heli that is destroying half of your team as you flank the tank hoping to plant some C4 on it.

It's the OG team(more or less) for MW so I expect that game mode wont suck as bad as the shit Activision spews on on a regular basis. Also fingers crossed for an awesome story line that doesn't involve more random numbers and a shitastic ending!

The developers denies that there will be no dedicated servers... but knowing Activision, they will have no dedicated servers. I mean on consoles, I understand (not really, I feel dedicated server lists should be a must because I like playing certain types of maps over just having it random). The main fact that PC gamers are gonna butt hurt over the lack of dedicated server support. In all honesty, they have a right to complain. Regression in using the stupid system they have now is dumb and the use of dedicated servers would be excellent (for PC users). Sadly, console players are sealed to the fate of random maps... /sigh

At least I can pick the zombie map I want to play online... thank god they didn't take THAT freedom away.
