This is one of the best martial arts asian movies! I got both the first and second movie. I'm currently about 28 minutes into the first movie and it's very, very damn good.

IP Man is definitely one if my favorites  I have the second one on BluRay, but I am waiting to watch it with a friend after he finishes a big exam.

For those of you who haven't seen it just think about this:  The movies are about Bruce Lee's Master's Life.  How much more awesome can you get than that?

first movie is fucking amazing what mr yen does with wing chun in that movie is fucking awesomely entertaining. Second movie is a bit of a let down compared to the first but ends on the note of hinting that bruce lee(as a character) will be in the 3rd movie (ip man = bruce lees kung fu instructor in wing chun way before he got all kinds of famous)


PS - used to take wing chun was 4th generation off of ip man from his older son(the one in the first movie) its a fun and brutal martial art

Looking forward to IP Man III if they work on it. Second movie was pretty good, but not as good as the first movie.

There is also an Ip Man III But it is not with Donny Yen. And it's kinda unrelated to I and II but still awesome.

I also agree that it is one of the best MA movies I've seen.

The IP man movies are awesome the best Martial Art movies i've ever seen and for me the best Chinese movies i've ever seen i recommend it to all my friends who havent seen it.

Watch "Bruce Lee: My brother" too. It's not as action based, but quite worth watching.

I haven't seen the second one yet but I loved the first one. The action and the pacing of that movie were great, Danny Yen is great to watch but I felt his acting was a little bit wooden at times... but then again Maybe that was just his interpretation of Yip Man.
I especially love the street fight scenes when those guys come to challenge all the schools and Danny Yen walks in and completely destroys them.
