E3 of 2011 [6.7.2011]
« on: May 10, 2011, 02:55:19 AM »
E3's illustrated floor plan revealed.

Just like in previous years, the show floor in the West Hall is dominated by Sony and Nintendo, with two massive spaces each. Microsoft makes its appearance over in the curved South Hall, tucked in behind EA’s prime position and nestled between Ubisoft, SEGA and Square Enix.

Activision are also in the South Hall, in a pretty lovely spot up the back where it looms over Atari’s tiny booth. We’re not sure if it was accidentally stashed next to the Parrot AR Drone, or if that’s THQ’s way of keeping an eye on the competition (THQ’s booth is right over the other side of the hall).

E3 is expected to premier from June 7th to June 9th.

Looking forward to see more on BF3,  TESV,  and DX3.  Hope to see some kickass original titles  (The Last Guardian!).

But seriously...  I need more original titles...  Swimming in the sea of sequels is annoying the hell out of me.  New hardware would be cool, but I'm not expecting it, except maybe from Nintendo (With everyone doing their motion stuffs).

Feels like E3 2010 just happened though.  Time flies I guess.

There is a rumor out there that Nintendo is going to release a new console.  I doubt that they will release their controller this year though.

+1 for new games.  I don't mind sequels but there are just too many right now.

Already posted the thread earlier. The rumor is a confirmed report and Nintendo will announce a new system this E3.

I can't wait to see E3. It's just after finals, so not only do I have no school to worry about, but (especially this year) there should be some really interesting games I'm looking forward to.

What to expect in E3. Really nice stuff in the link. Lots of talk and seems like new games will be announced on several systems. The biggest thing is Nintendo new console we're all anticipating and of course who doesn't know about Last Guardian and FFXIII Versus? At least LG should be showing in E3.

I'm interested about the Vita (or NGP) and The Last Guardian. Hoping to have some news on MGS: Rising but it seems Kojima's gonna keep mum about it. Some Legend of Zelda news would also be nice  :)

Need.... info... about... The... Old... Republic!

No seriously, I don't care if Blizzard releases info about their new MMO Titan (unless it's completely badass)... I want Bioware to tell us more info about TOR!

Sure.

Old Republic E3 trailer goes into detail overload, not in CG. Video is done in Real Time.

BioWare reveals what to expect from SWTOR at E3 next week.

Already seen it, already know it. I'm just waiting for the EA conference whenever it happens today.

Saw this yesterday on another site. If you want to see their list of the most anticipated games (to see) then check the link. I had almost forgot about Bioshock and a few others.

So I read MGS is getting HD remakes. Cool. But then I read the same thing for ZoE... FUCK YEAR
There must a be a reason for tanking things. And all must be in certain balance.
But what that balance is, must depend only on you, nobody else.

I just watched the Kinect/ME3 demonstration of the voice controlled squad movement and dialogue choices. Nice gimmick (but not for the PC).

I knew nothing of the outside world. I was just a frog in a well.

The Kinect has a lot of gimmicky stuff that they showed today. I don't know if I'm all too pleased with the way that MS is going with their console.

I did REALLY like the BF3 stuff they showed so far and actually makes myself think that it was better than MW3's stuff. Then again, I'm bias towards consoles (for some strange reason), but I cannot wait til Bioware shows off more stuff for The Old Republic (apparently tomorrow cause today's trailer has NO new info).

Seems pointless use of the kinect, should be able to do the same with a regular mic. Kinect is more of a casual thing and alot of people dont give a shit about it.

BF3 did look pretty damn epic but I dont really care much about single player so hope they improve gun handling/shooting in multiplayer.
Dont know what to put here

Is there demand for a videos exclusive thread of events/games of the E3? I'd sticky it until the 9th.

That would be great. Keep everything in one place.

Okay, this is ridiculous, I'm watching E3 through Gametrailers, and once I am done with one awesome video another turns up. Don't ever stop, guys! ;D

Sure, some of them might be games I won't be able to play since I don't have a console, but I still like to see the new stuff that is coming.

Arkham City looks pretty awesome, the new combat is very similar and it doesn't make a lot of sense to change something that works so well. I do think I'll need to turn the difficulty level up to Hard. It looks like the player has a significant advantage with a much more responsive and polished combat system.

Modern Warfare 3, fuck yeah, give me moar. I don't care what people say, I am looking forward to running around and shooting stuff in New York. Hell, might even give the two previous games a spin before playing it.

OverStrike, might be worth playing if I have a PS3 when it comes out. It looks interesting.

Skyrim does look promising, though still loving The Witcher 2 so I don't know if there's room in my life for a second RPG just now.

Still need to watch Battlefield 3 and Mass Effect 3 videos.
