I can't find a better reason to not consider privacy laws as censure other than morale and that's not exactly a good reason so I guess you have a point. Are you sure Canada has stricter privacy laws though? I'm not familiar with American regulations in this area so I can't compare.

I honestly don't know. It's just the impression I get from reading comments about people who torrent in Canada vs. the US.

Judging from this Wikipedia article. I would tend to agree with your assumption. And now that I think of it, is the patriot act still in effect today?

Edit:
--- Quote from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USA_PATRIOT_Act ---The act is currently set to expire May 29, 2011; after a 90 day extension from February 28 by congress.

I don't think people from the CIA, FBI, and Homeland Security really care about people watching cartoon porn.

Xenoran:
im sure they have better things to do than moniter people who watch hentai even if it is loli

BrownMasterV:
Lol, in the 1950's our CIA and FBI were cracking down on suspected commies because anything red meant immediate death for America.
How do you know 'suspected pedos' aren't the next Red Scare?

That's right. The Red BEAR. DUN DUN DUNNNN

Yeah, make a containment policy for lolicon otaku's. Lolicon is a threat to democracy!

IF the the US really is democratic... we should be able to vote for president directly and not through the stupid electoral college.

Off topic reply, but... are you really sure you want that? Think about the implications.
/Yes, I'm an elitist bastard in many respects.
