and to add to the troubles, Square-Enix was also hacked, but only email addresses were stolen, at least that is it for the info they gave

It wouldn't make any difference if the data was stored on company servers, anyway. Heck, Spore could even be affected (by stuff like this), since it requires you to log on to use online content.

I'm more curious about why the update when PSN isn't even up. Kinda a tease...
Irritating as well since I'm waiting to collect on my DLC on my games.

And now it's up... You posted this a few minutes ago but I was just on and PSN was up. (Not the store obviously.)
I was on for about 4 or 5 hours and PSN never was down for me. I realize around 10 AM PSN was down but only for a little bit.
Of course I'm not up at 10 so I could careless it was down. lol

I heard the store might actually get up by the 24th. I am doubting it though. but we'll see.

I think they should think about bringing the PSN store to the internet so we can Thumb some of the DLC's Updates and what not. Just think about all those people who got their new games this month and have to wait afew weeks for updates and DLC. (L.A Noire etc.)

That's a good thought. I don't think they will do it... ever. but if they did i think a lot of people would appreciate it.

EDIt it is now 3 AM here by me. I just got an E-mail from Sony stating that SOEis now officially back up and fully operable. Whoot!!! for those who play SOE titles and what not.
