Burkingam:
Terreria is a new game that just came out yesterday (mai 16th) on steam. It's a sandbox greatly inspired by minecraft, except it's actually more of a Metroidvanias style platform. It's fairly known among Minecraft fans because Notch talked about it on his twitter. Several known LetsPlayers have also talked about it.

This game is amazingly fun and extremly addictive. It also has this oldschool looks I like. I hope they release another version for people who dislike steam.

If you want it, you can download it on isoh.. buy it for $9.99.

So, did you guys try it? How did you find it?

flyawave:
I've got a torrent of it (I will buy it, don't worry) I have to say, it's excellent so far. I'm not too far, I've only got an iron shortsword and no armour yet, but the whole environment is very well thought out, especially the NPC system. My only complaint is that it really needs a map or something. I get so lost sometimes, especially as I don't have a grappling hook

Gangster301:
Great game, basically played it to death last week, and it got kinda boring after getting the best armor & tools, and after getting most of the special items. :/
I am guessing the game is meant to be played in multiplayer, which I have to say sounds amazing.

Building isn't really a big part of the game, so you can't really keep yourself occupied with that either, and since tools don't break you never have to look for more of a resource after you've got a better set.
Suddenly I just felt like there was nothing more to do. :S

The same thing happened to me. This game is a lot of fun and very addictive but I guess it's not very durable. I basically found every items in the game except for the Whoopie Cushion, which is a joke item anyway. But then I don't see what more I could do. I guess I will be waiting for the upgrades.

@flyawave if you decide to pay for it I guess it will count for two (aka I didn't)

Oh dear Burk....

I got some multilayer in yesterday. It's definitely much better, especially when using a new character as it means you get to play the fun early game again. So a question. What sort of equipment should we have before tacking the bosses.?
