name Ekaterina? Bleh, that kid is going to get bullied xD
and Alexander is kind of old fashioned, and quite long, his friends will probably shorten into Alex or something liek taht xD

but wouldn't Nina be quite good for a girl and Niko for a boy
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niko actualy quite international)

Well, Those 2 you mention are quite decent names BUT bit too long as 1st name, at least I think so, and also I think that the names of Kids in the Family should sound good, soft, etc. when mentioned in same sentence.
Well, I allow myself to use my name as example,
1st name: Niko, easy & short name.
2nd name: Eero, another short and easy name (also bit older)
3rd name: Antero, Old, long, and strong.

Well, then the 1st name of my lil'bro is Jesse. So when spoken in Finnish; it is always Niko & Jesse (sound good because of the finnish pronouncion)
ANd well, a small list of my cousins (who live in the same household)
Hanna, Heidi, Tessa, Lotta. (all fit together at least with Finnish pronouncion)

ALso, I think that the 1st name should be that kind of name that isn't possible to shorten. So the child will always be called with his/her name. So that it wont shorten. ANd of course names are bent very often, but that is just because a loved child has many names.

Siegfried is the best name ever (though I wouldn't give it to my son). As for a girl name I think Yuki is really nice but it probably won't fit in many countries so Mai would be better.
how about Yuri? it has the benefit of being unisex too.

I'm going to name all my children after myself. My life goal is to have a lineage with my own name maybe even up to a (myname) XVI
That would sound fucking majestic.

But if I have a girl, then :(

well im in America and im technically German but i like aleksander because of the nickname sasha ... personally i like sasha a lot but i dont want to name my boy sasha yaknow so i figured aleksander would be a better choice and let him decide if he wants his friends to call him sasha or not

i also like katya which is short for ekaterina which is partially why i picked that name too .... i understand naming people based on where you live ... but im not to big on naming my son john or my girl jane ...... hahaha or jack and jill ..... :)

I would give my children Two names.
One plain and  the other exotic.
When they get older they can choose to be normal or different.

hm...if I ever get such a trouble as children (I actually dislike children, but there always is a possibility of unnoticed mistake) I bet i will give them short names. Its such a pain to have a long one. I love my short name, no stupid nicknames and so on, just my name :)

What is your name anyway harpy? Mine is Tyler (TiYlER, get it? lol) I like plain american names like Marisa or Allison or Diego. Names like that.

Stereotypical Black names now?
Jerome and Laquisha
There must a be a reason for tanking things. And all must be in certain balance.
But what that balance is, must depend only on you, nobody else.
