Actually, most people here in the UK spell it 'practice' all the time too. A few people spell it 'practise', but honestly, I reckon they're in the minority. I'd probably consider either spelling to be correct, myself, though I prefer 'practice'.

Also, I'd say "play me one-on-one" sounds better. It's how I'd have translated it too; it sounds more natural than "please have a one-on-one match with me".
